Het is een dynamisch centrum waar niet alleen studenten maar ook buurtbewoners, alumni, docenten, medewerkers van VUmc en anderen met veel plezier sporten. What a weekend at Sportcentrum VU! 🏀🔥
Over 2 incredible days, hundreds of kids joined our basketball clinic with Dutch NBA player Quinten Post. From future stars to young talents taking their first steps on the court, the energy was unmatched and the love for the game was everywhere.
Participants sharpened their skills, learned from one of the best, and even had the chance to win an official game-worn NBA jersey! 👕
Thank you to everyone who brought their passion, enthusiasm, and hustle. The future of basketball is bright! ⭐🏀

🏃♂️ Will you be running the Dam tot Damloop on September 20 with the Sportcentrum VU team?
Secure your race entry now, along with 12 regular training sessions and 5 special Damloop clinics, so you’ll be fully prepared when you line up at the start! Training sessions started on Wednesday, May 6, led by our running coach Tereza, and there is room for up to 40 participants. It's always possible to join us later on!
The ticket includes a race entry and training sessions.
You can also join the running course if you for instance already have a race ticket (the course does not include the race ticket).

Yesterday we played volleyball at the VU-campus with the first edition of beach week!
It was all we dreamed of! Sunshine, friends, some drinks and a lot of fun! 🤩

On Monday 1 June 2026, student teams will compete against each other.
On Tuesday 2 June 2026, it’s the turn of VU staff.
On Wednesday 3 June 2026, it’s the turn of local volleyball clubs.
On Thursday 4 June 2026, we welcome teams from the Zuid-As.
📍The tournament will be held on the beach volleyball courts at the VU Campus (Boelelaan 1105, Amsterdam). Matches are 4-a-side.
🕔 On all days, matches are from 17:00 – 20:00
Cost per team:
Students: €50
VU staff: €75
Clubs: €75
Teams from the surrounding area (e.g. from the Zuid-As): €100
Put a team together (maximum 6 people) and register. Registration is per team. You can register here: https://sportcentrumvu.nl/en/events/beach-week/
The registration fee includes a free drink at Bar Boele (minimum 4 participants, maximum 6 participants). Subsequent drinks are available at a discount at Bar Boele
🏆 There are great prizes to be won for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
