The Art of Daoyin Yangsheng Gong

Daoyin Yangsheng Gong is a system of health-cultivation exercises that blends traditional Chinese medicine theory with specific physical movements, breathing techniques, and mental focus. It is designed to regulate the body’s internal energy, improve flexibility, and promote overall longevity.

Origins and Foundation

The system was founded in the 1970s by Professor Zhang Guangde of the Beijing Sport University. Professor Zhang, a renowned martial artist and scholar, developed these routines by synthesizing ancient Daoyin (guiding and stretching) traditions with modern medical insights. His goal was to create a method that was both scientifically grounded and deeply rooted in classical heritage.

A Global Community

What began as a specialized health program in China has since grown into an international movement. Today, Daoyin Yangsheng Gong is practiced br many people across the globe. Its popularity stems from its accessibility; the movements are gentle yet profound, making it suitable for individuals of all ages and fitness levels.
