A woman is such a complex biological system influenced by hormonal cycles, emotional demands, and multitasking, making quality sleep not just important, but ESSENTIAL. Its not our luxury to sleep, we just need it, and even longer, our nature is calling for that!
♀️ our brain is working every day on full speed, switching between emotional, social, and problem-solving tasks. In order to recover from this intense work it needs a good rest = more sleep.
♀️ we experience hormonal changes, monthly with menstrual cycles and major life stages, like pregnancy, breastfeeding, perimenopause and menopause. These are big changes which have big impact on us, we often don't understand what is happening with our body, diet or lifestyle, and special with sleep which is very much impacted.
♀️ we are more likely to experience insomnia, which is closely related to anxiety and depression. According to the Sleep Foundation, the impact depression can have on sleep is shocking, 80 % of people with depression have insomnia
♀️ women are more likely to have sleep disorders, and this can increase with age, incl. restless legs syndrome, sleep apnea or light snoring.

As a health coach, I often emphasize the power of small and consistent changes.
Here are three core habits to enhance your health and well-being:
1. Nourish Your Body with Whole Foods
A balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. These foods provide essential nutrients that support energy levels and overall health. Remember, what you eat directly impacts how you feel and function.
2. Prioritize Quality Sleep
Aim for 7–9 hours of restful sleep each night. Good sleep enhances mood, cognitive function (learning, decision-making, problem-solving, focus and social interactions), and body's ability to fight against infections. Work on your bedtime routine, create a restful sleep environment and the most important: limit your screen time before bed.
3. Stay Active
Incorporate at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity into your day. Whether it's a walk, yoga, pilates, biking, stretching, or dancing. Any regular movement boosts mood, strengthens the heart, and supports mental clarity. Find activities you enjoy to make it sustainable.
