A few days later, and we’re still taking it all in… winning the Elite Doubles category at still feels surreal.🥺🤍
Competing on such an iconic stage, in such a beautiful theatre, surrounded by incredibly talented athletes, was truly a unique experience. The level of every single performer was incredibly high. It truly felt like an honour to stand among so many strong and inspiring athletes.
We are proud of our performance, our concept, and the way we chose to tell this story. This piece means so much to both of us, and every time we step on stage with it, we carry a part of ourselves with us. More than any title or result, what matters most to us is that people feel something when they watch it.
That’s why it means so much to hear that our story made such an impact. The reactions, the messages, the conversations afterwards… knowing that our performance touched people in a real way is something we will carry with us for a long time.
We also want to say thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past months, weeks, and during the competition itself. You know who you are, and we really appreciate it🫶🏻
A special thanks to the organisers, volunteers and judges for creating such an incredible event and giving athletes a stage like this to perform on.
These past weeks have been emotional, overwhelming, amazing, and incredibly special all at the same time. We are beyond grateful for every opportunity, every person, and every moment that brought us here.
Thank you for seeing our story, feeling it, and allowing us to share it with you. We’re exited to share our video with you soon!🤍

Pole testing for is done. Even though we haven’t competed yet, it already felt like such an honour to step onto this beautiful stage at . We’re really excited to share our piece here ✨
Our piece is called “Shadow Self” and tells the story of carrying an invisible load. It’s deeply personal, which makes it vulnerable to share - but that’s exactly why it matters. The message feels important, because we know there are many others who have gone through, or are going through, something similar.
By sharing this piece, we’re inviting the audience into our story. We hope that those facing similar struggles feel seen and less alone, and that the people around them gain a deeper understanding of how heavy these invisible battles can be.
We’ll be competing this Sunday between 4-5PM CET. There will be a free livestream, which we’ll share on our stories if you’d like to watch🫶🏻

Still in disbelief that we won the drama category AND became the overall winners of !🥺🤍
We are beyond grateful to everyone who supported and cheered for us in any possible way, on the road to this competition, last year and this year, yesterday from the audience, or via the livestream. Thank you so much!🫶🏻
It’s been a bumpy road for sure, and we can’t believe how far we’ve come. We started training together in December 2024 and planned to compete last year, but a broken foot just days before the competition stopped that plan.
Then round two. At the beginning of this year, Dineke flew back to South Africa and we started preparing again. We adjusted the routine and felt the piece was really coming together as we imagined - but not without several setbacks, physically and mentally. Training this routine was emotionally heavy for both of us, in our own ways.
Yesterday was our moment to share this story, and we did. Was it technically our best run? No, it wasn’t. And honestly, we do feel a bit sad about that. But the most important part of our routine was sharing a very personal and vulnerable story. Not just showing it, but taking the audience with us and letting them in. Showing both the dark and the light, making them feel it. And based on the feedback we received, we believe we did.
To everyone who reached out and congratulated us, thank you so much. Yesterday we felt a bit overwhelmed by all the love and support (including all the tears🥹), but we truly appreciate it.
A special thanks to the organisers, Stacey and Jade, for creating such a beautiful stage for all of us. It was so well organised, and we had a great experience. Also, a huge thanks to the judges and volunteers, without you, this wouldn’t have been possible!🤍
Our last shout-out: to all the athletes who took part, not just the winners. We know how much time, effort, and training goes into this, along with all the struggles and setbacks, before and on stage. Sharing a personal, self-created, vulnerable piece, that’s a win in itself!✨
