Last week Rowing club .a.r.z.v.dehoop invited us for a very, very special evening! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

After a delicious meal, ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ team BOKA NEDurance was honored by Chairman Alex Vermeulen, commissioner Monique van Schendelen and Jenny van Dobben de Bruijn, secretary of KNRB and all other attendees ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ After a speech in which some aspects of the crossing were highlighted, we got handed over a cheque of โ‚ฌ400,- for our charity The Ocean Cleanup ๐Ÿงน๐Ÿชฃ๐Ÿงฝ

Thank you very much, K.A.R.Z.V. De Hoop for your hospitality, your enthusiasm and of course for the cheque.

We were delighted to -in return- present our story to De Hoop rowers. Lotโ€™s of questions from curious rowers were answered and pics and videoโ€™s of the race completed the story.

Who is going to be the next De Hoop rower that will cross the Atlantic Ocean by rowing boat? ๐Ÿšฃโ€โ™€๏ธ

Again, .a.r.z.v.dehoop a big thanks for your great support before, during and after our race. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

Since we have set foot ๐Ÿฆถ๐Ÿผon land in January, we have been rather active in sharing our highs, lows, fears, most impressive moments and our stories about teamwork with our families, friends, supporters, but also with our very valued sponsors. Last week on International Womenโ€™s Day ๐Ÿ‘ฏโ€โ™€๏ธ, Ingeborg participated in the Thales womenโ€™s panel and talked about her courage to say โ€˜yesโ€™ to row an ocean, about her preps and the actual adventure.

A big thanks to for sponsoring us and we truly hope that an increasing number of girls and women worldwide are getting in the position to follow their hearts when adventures call ๐Ÿ’™

She is back!

Our dear Liberty has crossed the ocean again, but this time without her using as a rowing boat. It was that took great care of her by shipping her from the Caribbean back to the Netherlands.

We must admit that after a rhythm of row-sleap-eat for almost 33 days in a row, even a boat can feel like as if it is your baby ๐Ÿ˜„.

So, you can imagine that we were delighted to see her back on Dutch grounds ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป.

Thank you so much for taking extremely well care of our Liberty. You guys did a great job in bringing her home. ๐Ÿก

The โ€˜beforeโ€™ and โ€˜afterโ€™ headshots. ๐Ÿ“ธ๐Ÿงญ

Now the team has been back on land for a few days, it is a good moment to reflect on these and really process the journey. ๐Ÿ˜Œ

โ€˜We will miss the beauty of the vast ocean, being surrounded by pure nature 24/7. We will miss the calming horizon and surrendering ourselves to the elements of mother nature. Even though the weather gods were not always in our favor, it was so powerful to be at the mercy of the weather. ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ’จโ›ˆ๏ธ

And then there is also a list of things we definitely do not miss, but we already look back on feeling empowered and strong for enduring those.โ€™ ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ†

THEY SET A BOOMING WORLD RECORD!๐Ÿ๐Ÿ†

What a celebration! We could see all the emotions rolling in like the waves, after almost 33 days on the ocean. We also saw more salty water.. from tears of relief, victory and reunions. ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿง‚๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŽข

*32 days, 23 hours, 53 minutes* after departure, they stepped ashore again on the other side of The Atlantic. 07:35 local time in Antigua๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿฅณ

They have achieved FIRST place in mixed class. ๐Ÿ“ฃ And not just winning.. as with their crossing they smashed the previous record by an astonishing 8 days!! The team obtained 4th place overall in the race. ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿฅ‡

We could not be more proud of them. They were showing such strong spirit while being tested to their limits. All four champions displayed impressive mental and physical abilities. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ

A few kg's lighter, rougher hands, maybe a few extra wrinkles, in need of a shave and haircut, and a lot richer in ocean rowing experience. ๐Ÿ˜„๐ŸคŸ

It is now officially over, the treadmill of Row, Eat, Sleep, Repeat! ๐Ÿ”

โ€˜At times it was incredibly hard and challenging, whilst other moments represent memories and lessons never to be forgotten.โ€™ ๐Ÿ’ ๐Ÿ’ฌ

Sponsored by Boskalis, the best sponsor ever. We feel like we were really contributing to their mission 'creating new horizons' out there. We share a strong maritime passion and hope for important preservation of our precious oceans. So with we aim to give next generations cleaner oceans to row on and treasure. With participation in this race, they do hope to inspire many to take better care of these vulnerable ecosystems. ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿชธ๐Ÿฆญ
