Due to a combination of summer holiday and a private situation WorkCycles workshop is closed until 5 August for a very much needed break. In the meanwhile we'll remain active online; responding to emails and processing orders (that will begin shipping in August). Thanks for your patience!

WorkCycles Fr8 Crossframe, customized a bit for its very very tall new owner: 2.10m (6'11" in Freedom Units). The same day a 200kg (440lbs!) customer brought his Fr8 for routine maintenance.
The Fr8 might be the only bike on the earthball capable of fitting such diverse sized riders and handling their weight and forces with ease and safety.
PS: The Crossframe isn't currently in production but we do have one last new one and a refurbished model in the showroom.

This is David from London. David bought his first Fr8 MAD two years ago. He and his wife ride the bike with their young kids so much that they bought another one.
David visits the NL periodically for work so he was able to pick the bike up himself. We drank coffee and chatted about the beauty of bikes and generally deplorable state of the world and then I sent him off for his journey home.
Like many UK customers have done before David rode his new bike to the ferry terminal, took the boat to England and then the train to London.

Nino has been a multitasking multitalent at WorkCycles for years. He builds and repairs bikes by day and builds and manages websites (including ours) by night.
Today Nino rolled his own custom Kr8 MAD out onto the streets of Amsterdam for its maiden voyage. Of course his bike is packed with neat tricks like ginormous Schwalbe Pick Up tires and a tracker hidden away somewhere.
ps: Note also the Space Invader graffiti that appeared on our corner wall a few days ago... meticulously applied with little tiles!

Over the past couple years I've been quietly adding items to the WorkCycles/Henry_Garage_Sale in Instagram. It's a fun (and sarcastically edited) hodgepodge of stuff we've accumulated and need to "re-home".
You'll find antique/classic bikes and parts of various nationalities there. I also post unneeded equipment for track cycling, road race, CX, time trial, MTB etc. Also just utterly random items that don't fit in the WorkCycles webshop.
We're Amsterdam based... but capable of shipping worldwide when appropriate.

Finally! We have the perfect battery to _convert_ your WorkCycles Fr8 to electric assist. This unit fits perfectly behind the seat tube and swings out to the left side for charging.
Over the past couple years we've converted dozens of existing Fr8's with our excellent Bafang BBS02 based system. It's smooth, reliable and easily serviced. It's also basically "open source" enabling us to refine the programming and choose components that suit our bikes and customers needs.
The downside was the lack of a good battery that fit in the Fr8's frame. We solved this on the production Fr8 MAD by modifying the frame. Converting a Fr8 meant putting the battery in the front crate or on the rear carrier, acceptable to some but not ideal.
Those dark days are over! After a long wait we finally have this great, new battery. Not only does it fit the Fr8 frame perfectly it's also a quality piece built for the rigors of commercial use. All of the PostNL Fr8's will use this battery.
Relevant facts:
1. We can only convert bikes locally in our A'dam workshop. We do not sell the kits uninstalled. Please don't ask.
2. How to inquire? Call, mail or visit with your bike.
3. This conversion is performed very neatly and to WorkCycles quality standards. It's labor intensive and bikes often have to be upgraded and/or repaired in the process. You guessed correctly: It's not cheap.
4. Expect the conversion to cost roughly €2000, give or take a couple hundred euro depending on the bike and it's condition.
5. Like all repairs at WorkCycles the conversions are done by appointment. We usually complete the installation in one day.

The indestructible WorkCycles Clydesdale seat post. Weight weenies hide your eyes! We make these because nobody else sells a seat post for BIG riders, and the Fr8 is one the very few bikes suitable for 150kg+ riders… and we know of a few 180kg guys happily riding Clydesdale equipped Fr8’s. Specs: 31,6mm diameter only, 400mm long.

Meet "Fiets á Pizza"! Our new delivery e-bike is almost ready to hit the world's city streets. It's simple, tough and easy to ride and maintain. The robotically cut and folded front carrier will fit just about any delivery bag or insulated box and hides the electronic bits underneath. The carrier is parametrically designed so, even for a fairly small series, we can adjust the carrier dimensions as needed.
Based on the fr8 3.0 frame Fiets á Pizza quickly adjusts to fit everyone from about 1.60 to over 2.0m.
