🔹 We are delighted to announce that Simona Ferrazza has been appointed Head of Educational Development at the Dutch National Ballet Academy as of this school year.

Simona has been a valued teacher for many years, teaching students across all levels. In her new role, she will oversee the development of our educational programmes and help shape the future of education at our academy.

🔹 Met veel plezier kondigen wij aan dat Simona Ferrazza met ingang van dit schooljaar is benoemd tot Hoofd Onderwijsontwikkeling van de Nationale Balletacademie.

Simona is al vele jaren een gewaardeerde docent en heeft lesgegeven aan studenten van alle niveaus. In haar nieuwe rol zal zij toezien op de verdere ontwikkeling van onze onderwijsprogramma’s en bijdragen aan het vormgeven van de toekomst van het onderwijs binnen onze academie.

🔹NIEUW: Pre-NBA Satellietprogramma
Talent ontwikkelen, dichter bij huis.

De Nationale Balletacademie start in schooljaar 2026–2027 met het Pre-NBA Satellietprogramma: een nieuw landelijk talentontwikkelingsprogramma voor jonge dansers van 8 t/m 10 jaar.

Met dit programma willen we jong klassiek ballettalent dat verder van Amsterdam woont beter bereiken. Leerlingen volgen op zaterdag aanvullende Pre-NBA lessen, volgens het curriculum en de kwaliteitsstandaarden van de Nationale Balletacademie.

📍 We starten met twee pilotlocaties:

Groningen – Balletschool Haren, Haren
Limburg – Balletschool Chantal Meewis, Valkenburg

Het Pre-NBA Satellietprogramma is aanvullend op de reguliere balletlessen bij de eigen dansschool. Zo werken we samen met dansscholen in verschillende regio’s aan de ontwikkeling van jong talent.

🇬🇧 NEW: Pre-NBA Satellite Programme ✨
Developing talent, closer to home.

Starting in the 2026–2027 school year, the Dutch National Ballet Academy is launching the Pre-NBA Satellite Programme: a new national talent development programme for young dancers aged 8 to 10.

With this programme, we aim to make high-quality classical ballet training more accessible to talented young dancers who live further away from Amsterdam. Every Saturday, students will take part in additional Pre-NBA classes, following the curriculum and quality standards of the Dutch National Ballet Academy.

📍 We are starting with two pilot locations:

Groningen – Balletschool Haren, Haren
Limburg – Balletschool Chantal Meewis, Valkenburg

The Pre-NBA Satellite Programme complements the students’ regular ballet classes at their own dance school. By working together with dance schools across different regions, we aim to support the development of young ballet talent throughout the Netherlands.

The students of the Nationale Balletacademie return to the grand stage of Dutch National Opera & Ballet for this year’s spectacular end-of-year production: Dancers of Tomorrow.

Join us on 3 & 4 July 2026 for a special and festive edition celebrating the next generation of dancers. Featuring classical masterpieces, contemporary works, and exciting new creations, performed by over 165 talented young dancers and accompanied live by The Ballet Orchestra. This year’s edition also marks an important moment of transition and celebration within both the Academy and Dutch National Ballet.

🔹DANSERS VAN MORGEN 2026 🔹

De leerlingen van de Nationale Balletacademie schitteren opnieuw op het grote podium van de Nationale Opera & Ballet tijdens de spectaculaire eindejaarsvoorstelling Dansers van Morgen.

Op 3 en 4 juli 2026 presenteren meer dan 165 jonge dansers een feestelijk en veelzijdig programma met klassieke hoogtepunten, hedendaagse choreografieën en nieuwe creaties, live begeleid door Het Balletorkest. Deze bijzondere editie staat bovendien in het teken van een nieuw hoofdstuk voor zowel de academie als Het Nationale Ballet.
