KLABU Building sports clubs in refugee camps because everyone should have a place to play.

A new milestone in the KLABU journey: we’re launching our very first KLABU membership programme! And we’d love you to be part of it.

Since our start in 2019, we’ve built 11 clubhouses with local communities around the world, creating places where more than 50,000 people can play, meet and connect. We’re proud of how far we’ve come. But we’re nowhere near done.

Nearly 10 million people live in refugee camps and settlements worldwide, many with limited opportunities to do activities that go beyond survival.

Our ambition is huge: our goal is that everyone living in a refugee camp has a place to play.

You can join the KLABU not only by wearing our shirts, but now also by becoming a member. The membership starts at just €1 a month, easy and accessible, just like our clubhouses.

We’re looking for a part-time People & Culture Manager to join the KLABU team!

As KLABU grows, we want to make sure our team has the support, culture and opportunities to thrive. That’s where you come in.

You’ll help shape how we work together, support our team’s development and build simple, effective HR processes. From people strategy to everyday HR matters, you’ll help create an environment where everyone can do their best work.

And by helping our team thrive, you’ll contribute directly to our mission: building sports clubs in refugee camps, because everyone should have a place to play.

They are hard to miss while racing, skipping and flying through the dust: the Kalobeyei’s Girls Run Club 💜🩷

Every week, about 50 girls at the Kalobeyei Spirit 🇰🇪 lace up after school and take over the roads just before sunset. Some run to get stronger, some to find focus, some just to be with their friends. There’s heat, there’s sweat, and a whole lot of giggling.

The latest KLABU clubhouse is here 🎉 The Warsaw Spirit 🇵🇱 is officially on the road.

This day was a long time in the making.
It started in 2024 when UNHCR Polska asked us to connect Polish locals and refugee newcomers, and Adyen joined us as our main partner.

Now, the Mobile Clubhouse is ready to hit the road and bring play to 5,000+ locals and newcomers across Warsaw and the wider Mazovia region 🚐⚽️

Why a MOBILE clubhouse? 🚐

KLABU clubhouses usually have a fixed location. But in Warsaw, the refugee community is spread across different reception centres, making a single permanent clubhouse harder to reach.

So instead of asking people to come to play, we drive and bring play to them! 🧡

To make this happen, every week, Fundacja dla Wolności will bring activities to Warsaw and the Mazovia region, creating pop-up spaces across the city where Polish locals and refugees from:

Ukraine 🇺🇦
Belarus 🇧🇾
Afghanistan 🇦🇫
Georgia 🇬🇪
Chechnya and more!

Buckle up, the KLABU mobile clubhouse is officially on the road 🚐🧡 

Building the clubhouse wasn’t exactly a smooth ride, full of repairs and a 20-hour drive. Together with Iza and Ivan, our clubhouse managers from , the Warsaw Spirit 🇵🇱 is ready to bring play to any space.
