CCA 2 — CHAMPIONS AND TOP OF THE KNCB FOURTH DIVISION

CCA 2 sealed a fantastic 3-wicket win over Wanderers, chasing down 158 to finish on 162/7!

Ganesh’s 3/43 and Pranav’s 2/26 helped bowling attack. With the bat, Mani played a brilliant knock of 55, holding the chase together as wickets fell regularly and exposed the tail.

With the final 30 runs still needed, father-and-son duo Ganesh (10) and Pranav (16)** showed composure and patience. They deliberately slowed things down, protected their wickets and carefully guided the team home. A special partnership and a memorable finish!

With this victory, CCA 2 are crowned champions and finish top across all KNCB Fourth Division tables! A proud achievement for the whole team and onwards to the Third Division !

Rood en Wit ZA won the toss and elected to bat first, posting a strong 192/4 from their innings.

Arnhem ZAMI1 started the chase confidently, with openers Omer and Sohail putting together a brilliant 99-run partnership and giving the team a solid foundation. 💪🔥

Later, Tanmay and Sohail took control of the game and guided CCA ZAMI1 towards a memorable victory! 🎉

Yet another Cricket Clinic from CCA but this time in the corporate world.

From Bosch to the Cricket Pitch 🏏

On 3rd August, the team from Bosch Thermotechniek B.V. swapped the office for the cricket field during our team outing.

For some, cricket was familiar and for others, it was their first time holding a cricket bat! They learned the basics, played together, and enjoyed plenty of fun and laughter along the way.

It was a great opportunity to try something new, strengthen the teamwork, and enjoy a different kind of team experience.

Same team, new playground! 🏏

A big shout-out to our CCA team member RAJESH for taking the initiative to introduce cricket to his Bosch colleagues and organising this fun cricket clinic as part of their team outing. 👏

🏏 A Historic Moment for CCA! 🏆

We are incredibly proud of Shekaina, the first women cricketer from Cricket Club Arnhem to play in the Netherlands Women’s Cricket League—and she marked this special milestone by winning the “Player of the Match”award!

CCA 2 secured an important victory after posting 209/9 in 40 overs.

👏 Nathan played a crucial knock of 50, building a vital partnership with Rajesh (38) that steadied the innings and laid the foundation for the total.

⭐ Amer Butt then delivered a superb all-round performance — 36 and 3/5* — earning the Man of the Match

CCA2 vs Salland 3

🏏 A brilliant all-round victory for CCA 2!

After restricting Salland 3 to 208/6, Pranav (2/35) and Ganesh (2/37) led the bowling effort, supported by Dina (1/25) and Rajesh (1/40).

In the chase, Johnson delivered a superb unbeaten 72 off 72 balls, supported by valuable contributions of 35 (Deepak), 34 (Prasanna) and 29 (Dinesh) as CCA 2 reached the target with four wickets remaining. Johnson also bowled an economical spell of 6-1-25-0, earning a thoroughly deserved Man of the Match award! 🏆👏

🏏 Introducing Cricket to the Next Generation!

Cricket Club Arnhem (CCA) introduced cricket to first-year students at HAN University as part of their Introductory Week Program, with the day organised by Sportbedrijf Arnhem.

Led by Dolf, with support from Shekaina and Obaydul, students experienced various skills including hard hitting, direct-hit drills, hard-ball slip catching and an exciting game of pair cricket.

The enthusiasm and positive feedback were fantastic! 🙌 Initiatives like this help us create awareness, share our passion and introduce cricket to the wider Arnhem community.

The CCA Club Cricket Season Closing Ceremony is an opportunity for our players, teams, coaches, families and wider cricket community to celebrate a fantastic season, recognise outstanding achievements, and appreciate the commitment, teamwork and sporting spirit that have made it special.

Beyond the matches and results, this season has been about friendships built, lessons learned, talent developed and a community brought together through our shared love of cricket.

We look forward to celebrating everyone who has contributed to the season — and to setting the tone for an even bigger and better season ahead.
