Over een week start in Valladolid, Spanje, het World Jigsaw Puzzle Championship 2026, en wij zijn erbij! Gedurende de hele week zijn er naast de wedstrijden andere activiteiten om aan deel te nemen. Hier zetten we ze voor je op een rijtje. Uitgebreide informatie over algemene evenementen kun je vinden op de WJPC website. Natuurlijk is er speciale aandacht voor de activiteiten waar wij als Speedpuzzling The Netherlands een rol in hebben en/of organiseren. Ga jij naar Valladolid dit jaar? 🇳🇱 TeamNL meet-up (16 september)
Op de eerste dag maken voor de openingsceremonie aan graag kennis met alle deelnemers van TeamNL. Het geeft jullie als puzzelaars ook de kans om elkaar te leren kennen. We zullen op de dag zelf aankondigen waar de meet-up plaatsvindt op de socials en Whatsapp.

Na de winst van vorig jaar kan deelname van Nederland aan de landenwedstrijd natuurlijk niet uitblijven. Weer hebben we een team van puzzelaars samengesteld die samen een 1500 stukjes puzzel gaan leggen. Lijkt het je leuk om ook mee te doen? In one week, the World Jigsaw Puzzle Championship 2026 will kick off in Valladolid, Spain, and we’ll be there! Throughout the week, there will be plenty of activities to take part in alongside the competitions. We’ve listed them all for you below. You can find detailed information about the general events on the WJPC website. On the first day, before the opening ceremony, we’d love to meet all the TeamNL participants. It’s also a great opportunity for you as puzzlers to get to know one another. We’ll announce the location of the meet-up on the day itself via our socials and WhatsApp.

After last year’s victory, there was no way the Netherlands could miss out on the Nations Competition this year! Once again, we’ve put together a team of puzzlers who will work together to complete a 1,500-piece puzzle.

Wie doet er mee aan een puzzel challenge? 🧩

Deze challenge loopt gedurende de hele maand september op onze Discord (link onderaan bericht) en er wordt gestreden om de eer.
Aan het begin van oktober maken wij dan de officiële uitslag bekend.

De challenge:
Het doel is om zoveel mogelijk puzzels te leggen bij een passend thema. Deze maand is dat thema natuurlijk Worlds (WJPC).
Voor elke puzzel die je maakt, die ooit al eens werd gebruikt tijdens het wereldkampioenschap, krijg je 1 punt. Hierbij maakt het niet uit of je deze puzzel als solo, duo of team hebt gemaakt en ook of je hem op snelheid legt of niet mag je vrij kiezen. Het doel is vooral dat jullie plezier beleven aan het puzzelen!

Zo doe je mee:
Maak een puzzel die al eens bij de WJPC werd gemaakt.
Om te bewijzen dat je de puzzel ook echt in september hebt gemaakt, leg je een button/pin op je puzzel en maak je een foto (als je geen button hebt mag je er natuurlijk ook gewoon één tekenen).
Plaats de foto op onze Discord in het kanaal -challenge.
Zet daar dan meteen even bij om de hoeveelste puzzel het gaat zodat wij niet alles hoeven te tellen.

Voor iedereen die dit jaar naar Valladolid gaat:
Natuurlijk tellen alle puzzels die jullie daar maken ook gewoon mee. Het zou leuk zijn als het jullie lukt om even een foto met een button te maken, maar als dat niet lukt is een berichtje in het -challenge kanaal ook gewoon genoeg.

This challenge will run throughout the entire month of September on our Discord (link at the bottom of this post), and there’s bragging rights at stake!
At the beginning of October, we’ll announce the official results.

The challenge:
The goal is to complete as many puzzles as possible that fit a specific theme. This month, of course, the theme is Worlds (WJPC).
For every puzzle you complete that has previously been used at the World Jigsaw Puzzle Championship, you earn 1 point. It doesn’t matter whether you complete the puzzle solo, as a duo, or as a team, and you’re free to choose whether you do it as a speed puzzle or not. The main goal is simply for everyone to have fun puzzling!

How to participate:
Complete a puzzle that has previously been used at the WJPC.
To prove that you actually completed the puzzle in September, place a button/pin on your completed puzzle and take a photo. (If you don’t have a button, you can of course just draw one!)
Post the photo in our Discord in the -challenge channel.
Please also mention which number puzzle it is for you, so we don’t have to count everything ourselves.

For everyone going to Valladolid this year:
Of course, all the puzzles you complete there count too! It would be great if you could take a photo with a button/pin, but if that’s not possible, simply posting a message in the -challenge channel is perfectly fine too.

Wat een feest was het twee weken terug in Utrecht. 🎉 Dank aan iedereen die een onderdeel was van de Dutch Jigsaw Nationals 2026! Zonder jullie enthousiasme, inzet en steun zouden we het niet kunnen doen. 💪 Wij kijken met plezier en trots terug op een prachtig evenement en kijken nu al uit naar de editie van 2027. 📆

Studenten van het Grafisch Lyceum Utrecht hebben tijdens het evenement foto’s gemaakt. Deze zijn vanaf nu te vinden op onze Facebook (link in bio 🔗).

Dan nog 2 reminders: de enquête en certificaten. Alle deelnemers aan de DJN 2026 hebben van ons een e-mail ontvangen met daarin een link naar onze afsluitende enquête 📧. What an amazing celebration we had two weeks ago in Utrecht. 🎉 Thank you to everyone who was part of the Dutch Jigsaw Nationals 2026! We couldn't have done it without your enthusiasm, dedication, and support. 💪 We look back with joy and pride on a wonderful event and are already looking forward to the 2027 edition. 📆
