martial arts is one of the toughest sports there is physically and mentally. It’s a one vs one battle and no one else can help you in the match, where the other guy is trying to hurt and break you, literally. it reveals character, it builds it and it does not lie. there aren’t a lot of things in life that can replicate it.

people watch fights, enjoy them, judge them, criticize them, praise them, laugh, talk…. you lose, everybody thinks you suck, you win, everybody is your friend and wants to be connected to you.

anyone deep in this game knows what those guys go trough and there aren’t many opportunities. many battles before they even step into the cage: finding the right preparations, balancing work with training, finding trainingpartners, getting to the sessions, balancing private life, injuries, pull outs, finding matches, and all other kind of challenges.

let’s show a little respect to every fighter, whether it is a random guy, your friend, a teammate, your opponent… those guys go trough a lot of stuff.
