Today, every Heero Inaugural Edition carries that village engraved into the titanium of its bracelet, a quiet acknowledgement of where the craft found its voice.

In every chiming wristwatch ever made, the hammer is small. Discreet. A whisper of steel, hidden away from view.

Ours is not.

For six generations, the Van Bergen family swung hammers of considerable weight against bronze. In the casting pit at Heiligerlee, in the workshops of Midwolda, in the foundries of East Frisia, our forefathers shaped the voice of carillons that still ring across continents. The last of them, Andries Heero van Bergen V, raised the same kind of hammer his own grandfather had raised, and his grandfather before him.

When we set out to give a wristwatch a voice, we faced a choice. We could have followed convention; a slender hammer, modestly proportioned, politely out of sight. Or we could remember.

We chose to remember.

The oversized hammer at the heart of this calibre is not a stylistic flourish. It is a quiet act of inheritance. The shape of the tool that built our name, scaled to the wrist, given purpose anew.

Before you see the watches, meet the case they come in.

In 1845, the Van Bergen family cast a bell in Midwolda, Netherlands, that won a prize at the Great Exhibition in London, celebrated among the finest bronzes exhibited from across the world. That bell has now been recreated, in precise detail, as the signature presentation case for every Van Bergen 1795 timepiece.

The Heero Inaugural Edition, the Monaco Special Edition, and all future Van Bergen watches will be presented in this case. Every curve, every relief, every proportion drawn directly from the original 1845 casting. Not a decorative afterthought. A 230-year legacy, shaped around a wristwatch.

Van Bergen 1795 proudly announces our world premiere at Top Marques Monaco, 6-10 May 2026.

For six generations, the Van Bergen family shaped bronze into music — crafting carillons for John D. Rockefeller and the Netherlands Carillon at Arlington National Cemetery. Now, that acoustic legacy transforms into haute horlogerie.

Our inaugural Heero Collection features a half-hour sonnerie complication, chiming in tribute to the bells that once marked time across the world's greatest towers. The collection comprises 230 individually numbered pieces in five distinctive dial colors, honoring our 1795 founding year.

For this momentous occasion, we have created a special Monaco Edition in close cooperation with the Palais Princier — a tribute to the Principality and its ruling family.

We are honored to debut at Top Marques Monaco's 21st edition — the ultimate launchpad for supercars and luxury innovations. Our timepieces will be showcased in the newly expanded Watch & Jewellery Pavilion at the prestigious Grimaldi Forum, alongside legendary marques including Lamborghini, Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, Bugatti, and McLaren.

H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco will receive the first-ever Van Bergen timepiece.

A second exclusive Monaco Edition will be auctioned, with all proceeds supporting The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation's global water safety initiatives.

A Van Bergen without sound would be a Van Bergen without soul.

What you see here is not merely a museum piece - it is living proof of the Van Bergen legacy. This tower clock mechanism, bearing the inscription “Gebr. Van Bergen, Midwolda,” once synchronized an entire community’s day, its chimes echoing across Dutch countryside.

For nearly two centuries, the Van Bergen family crafted these monumental timepieces for churches, town halls, and cathedrals throughout Europe. Each mechanism represented the pinnacle of Dutch precision engineering.

This May, at Top Marques Monaco, we reveal how six generations of tower clock mastery have been distilled into something you can wear. Same precision. Same heritage. New dimensions.
