ESRC The Elephants

Deze zondag zal de langverwachte wedstrijd om het studentenschild plaatsvinden tussen de twee beste teams uit de vierde klasse: USRS 4 neemt het tegen ESRC THE Elephants 2!
In deze laatste wedstrijd van het seizoen staat het studentenschild op het spel wat de Olifanten al meer dan een jaar in bezit hebben.
De wedstrijd werd eerder dit jaar uitgesteld wegens slechte veldomstandigheden, dus aankomende zondag zal het heel spannend worden! Kom het zien om 13.00 in Utrecht!

This Sunday, the long-awaited match for the Student Shield will take place between the two best teams from the fourth division: USRS 4 takes on ESRC THE Elephants 2!

In this final match of the season, the Student Shield, which the Elephants have held for over a year, is at stake. So this coming Sunday, it is going to be very exciting! Come watch at 1:00 PM in Utrecht!

Wie gaat er winnen?

For many of our boys, last Sunday’s match was their last run in the elephants jersey. Every single one will be greatly missed.

Few elephants in history will go down as notoriously as Tom, who (debatably) made his elephants debut in the late 90s, and remains one of the only men in the organization’s history to play 100 matches.

What a way to bow out.

Last October, the weekend of our Dies, our annual Kick-Off Weekend took place, where usually we go somewhere near Eindhoven, this year we went a bit further. Beyond Maastricht Young Dogs and Elephants settled in army tents and a cow barn for the weekend.

On Friday evening, we started the weekend traditionally with a cantus. New members were paired with Elephants to face the consequences of one of their actions, together.

Saturday the theme "back to the future" was lived up to by teaching the young dogs and puppies (and some of the older members too) the brief history of THE Elephants. From texts out of our lustrum book, the Kick-Offcie came up with assignments to do. After this busy day program, it was time for some more drinking, food and a small auction, just like the kampioenswedstrijd. Hopefully our Young Dogs and Puppies will still be with us when that time comes.

On Sunday, after a thorough cleanup of the farm, it was finally back to travel back to Eindhoven (and to the Future) and for the Young Dogs and Puppies to play their first official rugby match! The puppies killed it, and the Young Dogs had some heavier weather against

The Dies was celebrated with a nice frituurkar and lots of beers, the weekend even ended with the constitution of our new Commissaris Olifant the 'VoBaas!

Elephants, Oldfants, Lions and any other rugby fanatic,

The time has come, yet again, for the well known and awaited Kampioenswedstrijd! Here, the friendliest or for some, the most competitive matches will be played. With beer-drinking afterwards of course. Young and old are all welcome to celebrate another Elephants season, this year completed with two men’s teams!.🍻

The 7th of June every man woman and child associated with the Elephants is invited for the Kampioenswedstrijd at the Vijfkamplaan 29. Next to having a lovely time, we will also play some matches, with the infamous Oldfants-Elephants match!

13:00 Mixed touch
14:00 Ladies game (2x30 min)
15:30 Elephants vs Oldfants (2x 40min)

After the matches, the customary rituals and festivities will take place. Followed by the auction and trophies of course.

Dinner (rugby-sized) will also be arranged. Elephants level food for a mere 10-15 euros, you don't want to miss that. The clubhouse will be open and manned from 12:30. Fill in the attached form, so we know you are coming/playing. See you there!🌞
