Sleepless night thanks to a nonstop frog concert. Just as silence finally arrived, a beaver moved one of my lines and the chaos continued. After 18 months without a confirmed capture, this incredible carp was back. Fresh from spawning and well below her usual weight, she still measured 107.5 cm and 26.1 kg. Seeing this iconic fish alive and healthy was worth far more than any number on the scales.Moments like these remind me how privileged I am to fish such a special water and encounter its remarkable inhabitants.​
