A beautiful poem to inspire your meditation practice. When you meditate, start by (1) bringing the mind home, (2) release and (3) relax. When you bring your mind home, is to turn your mind inward and to rest in the nature of the mind. To release means to release your mind from grasping. To relax means to be spacious and to relax the mind of its tensions by letting all thoughts and emotions naturally subside and dissolve in the state of the nature of the mind. And all of this will bring you a great sense of bliss.

Be relaxed and accept the situation you’re in, rather than altering or controlling it. You will find so much more peace and tranquility with this state of mind, since you’re open to anything that lies in front you, you could expect the unexpected, you can grab anything that comes onto your path, you could surrender to the unknown rather than fighting it. That shows that you’re finding the balance between effort and surrender. Doing what’s necessary without going at the cost of your own calm...

Today I was practicing power yoga and I had difficulties maintaining balance and concentrating. Then the instructor said: Take flight, let everything go that doesn’t serve you. Then you start to soar... Instead of being hijacked by my thoughts, I focused on opening up and the endless possibilities...

It takes courage and determination to change. After watching the documentary “A life on our planet” of David Attenborough, it made me realize that we as human beings don’t have eternal life on this beautiful earth and that we are on the brink of destroying our planet completely for ourselves and our future generations. However, Attenborough did sound quite optimistic, but it means a radical shift in how we live now. So where do you start? Let’s start with the purpose. When you have your intentions clear, it’s so much easier to change. Then slowly implement changes in your lifestyle. How we eat, how we mobilize /move and how we deal with waste are the first few steps that could overturn the catastrophe we’re crashing into. Do you have the courage to become aware of what’s happening now and are you taking measures by stopping the poisoning of Mother Earth? We can’t look away anymore when it’s too late to save the Earth 🌍 Together we can do this. Dear Warrior, do you have the courage to implement small changes for a future on planet Earth?

What does it mean to be courageous? Courage comes in so many different ways. From being an independent in control being to someone being able to share their vulnerability. Even showing up for someone or something takes courage. If you want to live up to your own life’s virtues, the first step is being brave to make the commitment of living up to your own intentions. Find your intention. Then head up, stand tall, fulfill your own destiny, you are in control my brave Warrior! And when it gets hard and you want to quit, remember your intention from within. You got this, Warrior!

What do you see when you start looking within? I remember when I started practicing yoga for the first time for 2 hours, halfway through I thought when is this over 😳? Nearly at the end, I started to surrender myself and for the first time I found peace, tranquility and joy within my mind and my body. I could hear the birds 🐦 chirping, I heard the sea waves 🌊 hitting against the rocks, I heard my beauty radiating within me and it was for the first time I started to look at myself that I was enough. I started to drop all the heaviness, tension and walls that I had been building and carrying along with me for a long time. And I felt as free as a bird ready to spread her wings to fly away into the world...
