Race Report – Iame Series Benelux Round 6, Karting des Fagnes

We had strong pace all weekend and showed what we’re capable of!

In every heat, we were right up there in the top four for lap times. In the final, we even managed the second-fastest lap.

But racing can turn in an instant. An incident ahead of me in Turn 2 left me with a damaged click bumper and sent me tumbling from P30. I put my head down, fought my way back to P14, but an 8-second penalty dropped me to P26.

Qualifying: P30 (we’ll work on that 😊)
Heat 1: P10 → P6, penalty: P7
Heat 2: P4
Heat 3: P6
Heat 4: P8
Heat 5: P15 (penalty)
Final: P26

I’m proud of the progress we’ve made this season, and it gives us plenty of confidence heading into next year.

But first, there’s one more big race next weekend. Stay tuned!

Top pace at Kerpen – P2 finish! 🏁

The speed was definitely there! We had a strong practice session and put together some really competitive lap times.

Unfortunately, two time penalties in the opening two heats meant we had to start the final from P6. The start wasn’t ideal and I got caught up in the first-corner action, dropping all the way back to P12.

From there, it was time to fight back. I pushed hard lap after lap and worked my way through the field, eventually reaching P3. With a time penalty for the driver in P1, that promoted us to P2! 🥈

A strong comeback and great pace all weekend. We’ll take the P2 and keep pushing! 💪🏁

No words...

We had the pace. Everything was in place for a strong run to the final. But sometimes motorsport has other plans. A scale reset between the warm-up and the heat left us below the minimum weight, resulting in a disqualification. In an instant, a strong position heading into the final was gone.

It’s a tough one to swallow, but that’s part of racing. We’ll take the lessons, recharge, and come back stronger.

Time for a holiday. ☀️

After 5 years back . Then in a Rocky now with the x30.

A great environment on the track.

This weekend we race for the round 3. Some work to do with the setup but full trust and make the best of it.
