Do you know what all those kanji on your Aikido certificate mean? And how about pronouncing them?
Here it goes:
"Kōeki Zaidan Hōjin Aikikai [Public Interest Incorporated Foundation Aikikai]
Dai kyū zero hachi ni ni gō [number of the certificate for that particular rank]
Shō ["Certificate"]
# # # # [name of the recipient]
Migi wa konpan aikidō nidan o inka su ["The person on the right has been granted the rank of second dan in Aikido."]
Reiwa shichi-nen ichi-gatsu hatsu-ka [date of issue]
Aikidō Dōshu Ueshiba Moriteru [person issuing the certificate]"
But watch out, if you own a kyu or a higher dan level certificate, those have their own somewhat different wording! Fun times!
EDIT: We've also added the meaning of the stamps!
