Pugliese doesn’t just ask you to dance.
🔥He asks you to dare.
🔆To wait.
🔆 To stretch the moment.
🔆 To hold tension without immediately releasing it.
🔆 To surprise.
🔆 To move from stillness into explosion.
⛔️ And once again, you don’t need an entirely new collection of steps.
💥You need something much more challenging:
👉🏻 The ability to transform the quality of your movement according to what you hear.
Over these past three reels, we travelled through three completely different musical worlds:
✨ Di Sarli — elegance and refinement
⚡ D’Arienzo — rhythm and energy
🎭 Pugliese — tension, drama and contrast
3️⃣ orchestras.
3️⃣ different conversations with the music.
🎶 Real musicality is learning to listen deeply enough that you can understand what the music is asking from you…
👣 and developing the tools in your body to answer.
✅ That is exactly what I explore in depth inside my Advanced Tango Musicality course.
🚨If you want to move beyond “dancing to the beat” and learn how to truly translate what you hear into movement, comment MUSIC and I’ll send you the direct link.
🤔 And now I’m curious:
Which of these three orchestras challenges you the most — and why? 👇
Let’s dance the music together 💫

If you dance D’Arienzo like Di Sarli…
you’re missing a whole conversation with the music. 😉
Tell me:
💬Does D’Arienzo make you feel free and playful… or does he make you panic? 😅👇
🎵While Di Sarli can invite you to stretch, breathe and savour the melody…
🎶 D’Arienzo has a very different question for your body:
🔆 Can you feel the impulse?
🔆 Can you interpret the rhythm?
🔆 Can your movement become more alive, more responsive, more playful?
👉🏻And no — this doesn’t mean running around the dance floor doing more steps.😉
The difference isn’t necessarily in what you dance.
✳️ It’s in how you dance it.
The same movement can become
🔹Sharper.
🔹More rhythmic.
🔹More dynamic.
🔹More playful.
That is the real challenge of musicality:
💃 Can your body become aware enough to change its language when the orchestra changes? 🕺
🎥 That is what I explore in depth inside my Advanced Tango Musicality course.
🤍If you want to move beyond “dancing to the beat” and learn how to truly translate what you hear into movement, 👉🏻 DM me and I’ll send you the link.
This is Part 2 of my orchestra mini-series.
📌Next: Pugliese. And that’s where things get really interesting… 🎭

🖤 What if you didn't learn a single new figure?
I'm looking for 2 tango leaders in Leiden (NL) for my once-a-year course:
🕺 1 leader with ~6 months of tango
🕺 1 leader with ~2 years of tango
STRENGTHEN YOUR FOUNDATION
Once a year, I organise a small, focused course for dancers who want to refine their tango rather than simply learn more figures.
This is not a course with a fixed list of figures to cover.
I don't want to give you four more weeks of “here are some new things you can do.”
Instead, I want to look at what you already do.
🔅How do you walk?
🔅What happens in your embrace?
🔅How clearly does your intention travel through your body?
🔅Can you dissociate without losing your connection?
🔅How does your musicality translate into movement?
My approach is to work with the dancers who are actually in the room — observing, exploring and refining what your tango needs.
Going beyond the simply doing, towards understanding and feeling more deeply.
Less material. More attention.
📍 Leiden
📅 Mondays: 7, 14, 21 & 28 September
🕖 19:00–20:15
💶 €80 for all 4 classes

I already have two followers looking for partners, so I'm specifically looking for these two leaders. I can also accommodate one additional couple.
If you've ever thought “I know the steps, but I want my tango to feel better” — this might be for you.
Send me a PM if you're curious. 📩

You can hear Di Sarli.
But are you actually DANCING Di Sarli? 🤔
⚠️ Recognising an orchestra and allowing it to change your dancing are two different things.
👉🏻 So the question becomes:
“What does Di Sarli ask from my body?”
🌺 What happens to your energy?
🌺 Your timing?
🌺 The way you move?
Because you don’t necessarily need a new vocabulary of movements for every orchestra. 👣
Musicality is to learn how to let the music transform the vocabulary you already have. 🎶
This is Part 1 of my mini-series exploring 3️⃣ very different worlds:
✨ Di Sarli — elegance and refinement
⚡ D’Arienzo — rhythm and energy
🎭 Pugliese — tension, drama and contrast
Next: D’Arienzo.
And yes…your body will need to wake up a little differently. 😏
👉🏻 Real musicality is learning to listen deeply enough that you can understand what the music is asking from you…
👉🏻 and developing the tools in your body to answer.

💬 When a Di Sarli tanda comes on, what changes in your dancing?

Let’s express the tango music together 💫

P.S.: In this reel I am wearing another beautifully crafted piece of the collection ❤️. Where refined design meets exceptional quality, for tango dancers who believe comfort should never come at the expense of elegance. 💃
When I first started tango, someone told me:
“Tango IS walking. If you can truly walk well, you can dance tango.” 👣
I remember thinking:
“well…I have been walking my entire like. How hard can this be?!” 😏
Then I moved from open to close embrace and realise:
“Uuhh…that’s way more difficult than I thought…” 🤯
A few years into my tango journey, I discovered there wasn’t such a thing as THE tango walk. 😫
Nope!
🚩Because the walk changes with the music.
🚩With the orchestra.
🚩With the melody, rhythm, accents, phrasing…
And just when I thought, OK, now I finally understand it…
Someone would tell me:
💥“Push the floor more”
💥“Connect from your hips”
💥“What about your heel?”
💥“Your toes?”
💥“The inside of the foot?”
💥“And the outside?”
And that’s when I finally understood what they meant:
“If you can walk well, you can dance tango.” 🤷🏻♀️
❌Not because walking is easy.
✅ But because learning to walk in tango means learning to organise your body, communicate with your partner, and respond to the music - over and over again.
And apparently, I’m still not done exploring it. 😉
🎥 I’m currently preparing Embodied Tango Mechanics, where we’ll take the tango walk apart and look at what is really happening inside your body when you walk.
💬 What was the biggest “aha!” moment you had about your tango walk?
Tell me in the comments 👇🏻

Getting a dance with the leaders I wanted to dance with has not always been easy.
Sometimes getting ANY dance would not be easy! 🙈
Even as a pro! 🤯
Throughout the years I have danced tango socially in milongas, festivals, marathons and several countries. 🌍
And milonga after milonga I have refined my strategies. 😋
👉🏻 This is what has been working best for me.
Which other tip or strategy do you use❓
💃Share it in the comments to help each other 🙌🏻
To enjoy milongas even more 💫

The first time I rewatched myself dancing, I didn’t like what I saw. 🫣
Has this ever occurred to you too❓
👉🏻Eventually, I realised that I didn’t like what I saw not because the steps were wrong.
💡But because the lines were the problem.
🤷🏻♀️ Nobody told me this at the beginning of my tango journey:
💠 technique and aesthetics aren’t two separate things.
🔆 The way you organize your spine.
🔆 The position of your head.
🔆 How you place your free leg.
🔆 The relationship between your limbs and your torso.
🔆 The way you create space around yourself.
All these details change the way a movement looks.
And no, I don’t think caring about how your tango looks means caring only about appearance. 🤪
💃 Tango is a physical conversation. 🕺
Your body communicates through movement, through space, through shape — and yes, through visual lines too.
🇮🇹 Perhaps I am biased because I’m Italian… but I do believe that a pleasure for the eyes is part of the experience. 😉
The beautiful thing is that this isn’t about being naturally elegant.
💡Body lines can be trained.💡
🔥 And once you become aware of them, you may be surprised by how much more beautiful your tango can look — without learning a single new figure.
💬 Which side do you recognize from your own videos?
Left and right, above 👆
Un abrazo 💫
