There she is! — Tom Waes’ Tethys is back in Makkum.📍🗺️

Today, Tom Waes and Tethys arrived back at our shipyard in Makkum, after sailing around 8,000 nautical miles since leaving the docks in Antwerp in April.

It’s always special to see one of the yachts we built return to our yard after a journey like this. It makes us incredibly proud, and reminds us why we do what we do.

Over the coming weeks, our team will carry out a number of checks and give Tethys some TLC after six months of non-stop sailing. 🌎⛵️

The keel is being carefully fitted, while the bearings are measured and aligned. The keel will be permanently installed when the yacht is launched.

Construction update | Bestevaer 53 ‘Grey Shark’

The build is taking shape.
Construction of the Bestevaer 53 ‘Grey Shark’ is well underway. The first hull shell plating is now being carefully positioned, marking the next step in bringing this new Bestevaer to life.

Built from raw aluminium plates, every Bestevaer starts with the same combination of precision, craftsmanship and a lot of skilled hands.👏
