What a weekend at the Batavierenrace 🏃‍♂️🔥

As our Race of the Month, 22 Roadrunners took on the challenge of the world’s largest relay race: covering a total of 180 km all the way from Nijmegen to the University of Twente in Enschede.

Running in different shifts throughout the day and night, every team member played their part ! While some were racing, others were cheering, driving the vans, or trying to catch a few hours of sleep in between 😅🚐🌙

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and helped organize this unforgettable weekend 🫶

We started the night at Pardoen for the GMA. From there we hopped on our bikes and made our way to De Dikke Mic for April’s activity of the month: karaoke 🎤

Naturally, that wasn’t enough, so we decided to level up and hit the arcade like absolute pros (or at least we thought we were). To wrap it all up, we ended the night at Jaffa.

Unfortunately, the night had one final plot twist… Colin took a fall off his bike and ended up with a broken hand 🏥 Definitely not the kind of souvenir you want from a night out, but hey, unforgettable doesn’t always mean perfect. Up to next months activity….

We are looking for motivated members to lead the association during the next academic year.
The following positions are open:

- President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Race Secretary
- External Relations/open function (This role will be divided between the President and Treasurer if no successor is found)

✨ You can apply for multiple positions!
✨ Applications are open to everyone, so both English and Dutch speakers. (However, the final board must include at least one Dutch speaker.)

NN Rotterdam Marathon weekend recap 🧡💚

Last weekend 8 of our members participated in the NN Rotterdam Marathon, 1 in the Duo Business Run and 18 completed the 10km 💪🏼

Afterwards a lot of our members cheered the marathoners and after this we ended the day together at Indian restaurant Atithi 🥘

Last Thursday we had an amazing pub quiz, put together by our Actico team 🍻✨

It was a huge success, full of great vibes, and some serious brainpower ! 🧠🔥

Big thanks to everyone who joined and made it such a fun night. Already looking forward to the next one! 🙌

Race of the month recap 🏃‍♀️ 🌞

Yesterday 29 of our members participated in the NN CPC Loop Den Haag !! 🧡A great race, sunny conditions and lots of support along the way. Congrats to all the members that crossed the finish line ! 👏🏼

Next up… the Rotterdam Marathon 💚🤍💚

The biggest adventure of the year is coming up: the Batavierenrace! On May 8th and 9th, the world’s largest student relay race takes place, and we want you to join the Roadrunners team.

The race takes us all the way from Nijmegen to Enschede. Besides being a great athletic challenge to tackle as a team, it’s also an amazing weekend that includes camping together and the big afterparty in Enschede.

Not a runner? Non-runners are more than welcome to join for support and to help with the team logistics. We especially need people who are willing to join as drivers!

Hi everyone ! Happy march and hopefully some nicer weather is coming our way 🌸 Hereby the monthly calendar for all out events:
- Yesterday we had drinks in the PAC canteen after training 🍻
- ⁠Because our collaboration with Ragnar was so well received we now are able to train with them each second Monday of the month, aka March 9th. More information about the collaboration will follow 🏊‍♀️
- ⁠This months race of the month is the NN CPC loop Den Haag. Unfortunately the tickets are already sold out, but you can still obtain one via various platforms. After the race we’ll arrange some snacks and drinks if the weather is fortunate enough, so feel free to join us even if you aren’t running ! 🌞
- ⁠The NSK Ekiden will be held on the 21st of March in Eindhoven. An ekiden is a marathon that is ran in a relay form. More information about this will be announced soon.
- ⁠Last but not least, this months activity of the month is a pubquiz. More information will be announced by the ActiCo this week ! 🎲

It’s time for a new activity of the month! 🤩On the 28th of february, one of the halls of our beloved Erasmus Sports building will become a lasergame battlefield! The games will start at 15:00. Please be on the time!

We will provide guns, snacks and attributes for the battlefield (if you have things to make it more dramatic, please let us know😏).

Make you sure to wear clothes that you can move in easily and that can get some scratches.

February’s race of the month: Nemesys tunnelloop ❄️

Sunshine and good vibes during the tunnelloop in Oud-Beijerland🌞Today our runners took on the 5k, 10k and 4 of our runners even ran the 25k. Proud and congrats to everyone that ran today ! Always important to end the race with enough carbs 😉🍔

Next stop: NN CPC Loop in Den Haag, currently with 27 members 🤯
