MEET
NOAH RENGART aka. TheGardenOfNoah

My name is Noah Rengart. A 24-year-old Swede currently based in Arnhem, Netherlands, where I’m in my final year at ArtEZ. Before that, I studied at The Royal Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm. Throughout my years of education, I have performed work by choreographers such as Ann Van den Broek, Dalton Jansen, and Johan Inger.

I recently started exploring the maker in me. I co-created & performed: MATERIAL MECHANICA, which was presented at Vondelpark Festival and toured with Artez, As well as BINNEN BUT BARELY, performed at Festival Op de Grens and Café Theater Festival in Utrecht, where it received the Publieksfavoriet award 2026.

The process with IID Company: I would say it’s like being presented with a huge buffet. It’s colourful, rich, and a little funky. I’m constantly being encouraged to taste all these unfamiliar elements that I might not have chosen myself. It’s enjoyable, and I’m having a lot of fun with it. With every bite I take, I’m slowly allowing myself to transform into a Big Unapologetic Beautiful Pink Bird.

MEET
MIA BOURHIS aka. French Toes

My name is Mia Bourhis, and I am a dance artist from Paris. I have had the opportunity to work across Europe with choreographers such as Alexander Ekman, Béatrice Larrivée, Charlie Skuy, Nnamdi Nwagwu and Conny Janssen.

I am delighted to be part of yet another new landscape and world that Flamingo offers.
This new piece feels like an invitation to dive deeper into Remy and Robin’s unique movement language and tune myself into the spirit of this curious, graceful, sometimes quirky and wonderfully free bird.

I see this process as a poetic metamorphosis, an opportunity to discover new layers within this physicality and perhaps uncover something unexpected about myself along the way.

Perhaps becoming a flamingo is simply about finding my own chant, an inner birdsong, a new melody and rhythm within myself. Learning to listen to it, allowing it to unfold through movement and letting it blossom in its purest and most honest form, surrounded by this incredibly inspiring team.

MEET
BO JACOBS aka. Kinky Hairingo

My name is Bo Jacobs and I am a 26 year old freelance artist from the Netherlands. In my past I have worked for Elephant in the Black Box Company, Nürnberg Ballet, Biënnale Danza Venezia, and Snorkel Rabbit Company. Besides that I am exploring my choreographic abilities, which resulted in several works, such as LIMP (Amsterdam Fringe Festival), The Great Forgetting (Staatsoper Hannover), Huidschrift (Schrit_tmacher Festival), and Unveiling Echoes (Nederlanse Dans Dagen).

During Flamingo I got into my ‘birdology’ and felt specifically inspired by the Phoenix bird. This is because the proces feels like a constant rebirth to get to the freest, wildest, & most truthful version of myself. With the Kinkyhairingo as my character, this gets another layer. In the past I did not always accept my hair as it was, but now I have a different type of love for it. The proces of Flamingo is inviting me to embody these unique layers of my being even more and share it with the world.

FLAMINGO

Een nieuwe dansvoorstelling van IID Company, met choreografie van Remy Tilburg.

Een wereld waarin de natuur een stem krijgt.

In FLAMINGO transformeren dansers in mythische flamingo-karakters, die samen een andere werkelijkheid tot leven brengen. Een poëtische en fysiek krachtige dansvoorstelling over evolutie, vrijheid en identiteit.

Geïnspireerd door sprookjes, stripverhalen en zijn Surinaamse achtergrond creëert choreograaf Remy Tilburg een universum waarin flamingo’s de wereld overnemen en ons uitnodigen om vanuit een ander perspectief te kijken.

FLAMINGO is een danssprookje voor de 21e eeuw. Een wereld vol transformatie en verbeelding, waarin de fragiele balans tussen mens en natuur voelbaar wordt en onze invloed op klimaat en leefomgeving op de achtergrond doorschemert.

Na een eerdere korte versie, die Tilburg maakte voor Ballett Theater Trier, ontwikkelt FLAMINGO zich nu tot een avondvullende productie van IID Company.

Daarna reist FLAMINGO langs theaters in Nederland en Portugal.

Treat yourself to a 2day workshop dedicated to movement, creativity, and the joy of dancing together.

During this intensive, we invite you into IID Company’s movement language—a physical practice rooted in openness, curiosity, and personal interpretation. Rather than focusing on reproducing specific shapes or steps, we explore how movement can emerge authentically from your own body. We aim to reach a state where you feel fully connected to your movement: free, expressive, and deeply present.

Throughout the intensive, we will continuously challenge and deconstruct movement, discovering new possibilities that honour the uniqueness of every body. By questioning familiar patterns, we create space for a richer, more personal physical language.

Together we will work with:

- Movement Quality Research: The Sandwich, our research practice that investigates layering, texture, weight, intention, and the relationship between different movement qualities to create a fuller and more embodied dance experience.
- IID Company repertoire phrases, exploring musicality, dynamics, and performance quality.

Whether you’re looking to deepen your artistry, expand your physical vocabulary, or simply immerse yourself in an inspiring weekend of movement, this intensive is an opportunity to invest in yourself, connect with other passionate dancers, and celebrate the freedom of dance together ☀️
