The cricket season is off to a good start at Powerplay Cricket Academy. Shiva Samkaria has been working with on various aspects of his cricket at the academy leading up to the new season and we would like to congratulate Shiva on scoring an unbeaten century last weekend - enjoy the highlights of the boundaries scored on his way to 100. May there be many more for you Shiva!

Tactical development work with Shiva. The cones on the sides represent fielders. This is a useful drill that can be used to identify and take advantage of gaps in the field and make decisive, quick runs to consistently rotate strike.

Further aspects can be modified to work on not turning blind, running between the wickets to develop endurance and changing the fielding positions so the batter needs to adjust to the changes in the field.

Powerplay Academy is an official distributor of equipment. Whatever your cricketing needs may be! Sangar recently started wicket-keeping so needed a bigger bag and some keeping equipment. He likes Bonsai equipment so much he even bought a top of the range Bonsai bat! 👌🏽
