Optimist European Championship 2018

Gisteren is tijdens het Zeiler van het Jaar gala Carolijn Brouwer uitgeroepen tot Zeiler van het jaar 2018.

Maar er zijn meer prijzen uitgereikt! Ook de organisatie van het Optimist European Championship 2018 is in de prijzen gevallen!

Elk jaar wordt ook de MaasTrofee uitgereikt, aan personen die zich jarenlang hebben ingezet voor de wedstrijdsport. Dit jaar werden JanKees Lampe en Jean Bart Jaquet uitgeroepen tot winnaars van de Maas Trofee

In tegenstelling tot voorgaande jaren, waar steeds één individu werd beloond, ging de Maas Trofee dit jaar naar deze twee heren. In de schaduw van het mega-evenement van de Finish van de Volvo Ocean Race wisten zij, met de hulp van vele vrijwilligers, het Europees Kampioenschap Optimist in Scheveningen vlekkeloos te laten verlopen en daarmee juist een geweldige zichtbaarheid aan het evenement te geven.
