11 former Watersley R+D riders lined up from Den Haag to Arnhem. Silke Smulders led the way with 10th overall and a top 10 on the stage to Watersley, Rose Kloese started strong with 11th in the prologue, and 7 of our alumni rode all the way to the finish.

Proud of every single one of them!

𝗔 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗼𝗳.

This year, Watersley R+D and TC Maastricht joined forces in the Dutch National Team Competition. A new step to give our triathletes the right environment to race, learn and develop together.

The women finished 7th in the Eredivisie, while the men won the First Division and earned promotion to the highest level. Along the way, they took three wins in five races.

Next season, both teams will compete in the Eredivisie. Another step forward, and a great example of what can happen when talent, coaching and the right environment come together.

Keep dreaming. Keep growing.

This photo takes us back to 2023, when Ryan Gal was racing for Watersley R+D and became Dutch U19 Time Trial Champion.

Yesterday, three years later, Ryan became U23 Time Trial World Champion in Montréal.

We’re proud to have been part of his journey and even prouder to see a former Watersley R+D rider continuing to chase his dreams on the world stage.

Congratulations, Ryan. Enjoy those rainbow stripes!

𝗔𝗻 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳.

After careful consideration, we have decided to adjust the direction of the Watersley R+D Cycling Team. Next season, we will focus fully on further strengthening our U19 women’s programme.

This also means that our U19 men’s team will come to an end after this season, and the planned Development Women Team will not start in 2027.

Why we made these decisions and what they mean for the future of our cycling programme? Read the full story here: sportsandtalentpark-watersley.com/news/
