Holland Surfing Association SERVING SURFING COLD SINCE 1973 De HSA maakt zich sterk voor het behoud van de surf in Nederland. Wat is de HSA? Waarom de HSA?

De HSA is de Nederlandse Golfsurfbond, opgericht in 1973. Op basis van internationale erkenning door de European Surfing Federation en de International Surfing Association behartigt de HSA de belangen van de golfsurfsport en de golfsurfers in Nederland. Surfen is toch een individuele sport? Tot 5 jaar terug bleef het aantal golfsurfers in Nederland beperkt tot slechts enkele honderden, woonachtig

aan de kust. Deze tijden zijn veranderd. Het aantal actieve golfsurfers wordt inmiddels geschat op 8.000 tot 10.000. De surfpopulatie neemt toe, komt uit het gehele land en de aandacht voor onze Surf en de daarbij behorende lifestyle groeit enorm. Bestaande surfspots komen onder druk te staan, op steeds meer locatie's aan de Nederlandse kust wordt gesurft. De surfbranche en de locale en nationale overheden vinden de HSA als partner in het begeleiden en coordineren van deze groei en het formuleren van het juiste beleid. Wat doet de HSA? De HSA doet er alles aan de Surf in Nederland te behouden. Kustversterking door een stijgende zeespiegel brengt onze sport in gevaar doordat locale overheden rigoreuze constructie's bedenken waarmee de Nederlandse surfkust mogelijk in gevaar komt. De HSA Laat haar stem horen! Het groeiend aantal surfers brengt locale overheden op 'bijzondere' zonerings- en veiligheidsplannen. De HSA laat haar stem horen! Jong aanstormend surftalent en een Nederlands topteam worden begeleid door een professioneel georganiseerde Topsport & Talentencommissie onder leiding van een bondscoach. De HSA is in de laatste fase van de ontwikkeling van een Nederlandse surfinstructeursopleiding. De HSA organiseert jaarlijks de NK Tourwedstrijden en breedtesportevenementen voor zowel de wedstrijdsurfer als de beginnende surfer. En dan dit: Surf blijft Surf. HSA is Surf. Met de vibe die hoort bij onze 'sport' proberen we bij al onze initiatieven het 'hart van onze sport' centraal te stellen zonder onnodige actie's en flauwe daden. Als we er zijn dan zijn we er!... en zijn we er niet?... dan zijn we surfen want: Als ze staan moet je gaan!

The opening ceremony of World junior Championships just welcomed team The Netherlands. They arrived with a whole stack of vibes and the freshest drip on the scene. Like our captain would say; “You can thank me later”.

Surf Check! This morning we woke up to a sizey Nothern pulse. Yesterday our friends in Denmark already had some very nice surf. Are we up next? Lets see. The Period is growing, the wind is dropping, the swell is staying up. All the ingredients are there.
This is the first real pre-fall swell. Better get out there to welcome it! 🤙🏻🌊🏄‍♂️🇳🇱

Surf Check! Stormy conditions today. The is going to gain force while shifting towards a more North-Western Direction. This is the start of a weekend with very fun but stormt surf. The waves will gain size and the swell direction will shift towards the north. Every thing looks good for a very nice and fun weekend of surfing. Be carefull if you get out there today, the current is very strong on days like these! 🤙🏻🏄‍♂️🌊🇳🇱

Surf Check! Today it is stormy out there.
In any other country that serves as a surf destination people would stay in with wind choppy days like these. Not us. We have our Dutch Stoke, a whole bag of core vibes and we like to get wet. Who is stopping you? Get out there! 🤙🏻🌊🏄‍♂️🇳🇱

Surf Check! We have a Nothern swell building today. Towards the end of the day the wind will drop and that can result in a very fun afternoon session. If you happen to be close to Scheveningen you might wanna surf there, as the coming days and weekend you will have live music from to decorate your turns.

A big congratulations to Tiara van der Huls making it into the round of 32 at PANTIN CLASSIC in Pantin, Galicia, Spain. Tiara is on a really good campaign this year. She is Ranking 3rd in de WSL QS Europe Ranking. She is working really hard on her surfing and that without luxury involved. Sleeping in the cheapest places, kooking her own meals. She is a true warrior. This year she is accompanied by her grandparents who travel with her to all the competitions. How cool is that? We are very proud of her achievements. 💪🏻🦁🏄‍♂️🌊🇳🇱🇨🇼

A massive congratulations to Stef Van Noordennen on a very strong performance at PANTIN CLASSIC in Pantin, Galicia.
He made it on to the round of 32 in one of the biggest comps in Europe. That is massive when you grew up surfing the North Sea. Give him some love! 💪🏻🇳🇱🏄‍♂️

Another great score yesterday!

Today Stef just fell short of making It into the round of 16. We all were gutted as you can also see the Dutch team and support crew being bummed out after the heat finished.

Surf Check! We are back with check because the waves are too. Today we have a strong wind from the south west and a swell from the South. This is typical for this time of the year as warm air makes it way up North to cool down. It also pushes swell through the english channel into our North Sea and that gives us fun rippable waves like today. The water is still warm and outside the temperature is 18C. There is only one way to go ———> Get out there! 🤙🏻🌊🏄‍♂️🇳🇱
