Impro Dance The Hague

As I enter the new year I feel so much gratitude for the growing community of the Impro Dance classes and for the possibility to facilitate space and time for us all to slow down, to sense into what is already there, right in front of us. In the body, in the breath, in the feeling states that we bring to the dance floor.

In this time where our attention is being manipulated and monetized it feels essential to come back to the moving body, again and again.
In the Impro Dance classes we practice what it means to be in human interaction without loosing your own creative spark, flow, choices... All of this we do dancing

Are you looking to re-connect to your body? Wanting to listen to what is needed in the moment? Would you like to develop your creative dancing? We still have places available in the next Impro Dance course.
Sign up for a try-out class, this Tuesday 20th of May. Class starts at 18.00 and this course we will end the season with an informal presentation for friends and family on the 8th of July 🤩🧚‍♀️

In the Impro Dance classes and workshops you are invited to listen to your body and be moved by your own curiosity. Through simple invitations and exercises you will learn to access your own movement language and collaborate with others in improvised dances.

24th of March ~ Head – Tail connections ~ sensing in and reaching out
*
In this workshop we will focus on the movement potential of the head and pelvic area. We will play with how these two regions relate to each other and how a conscious use of them can inform our improvised dances. The anatomical information will be a starting point for a more poetic and creative process, where there is room for collaboration, experiment and play.

Like always, you are invited to sense into your body and notice when and where you want to reach out into space and to other dancers. This workshop is open to all kinds of movers.
