This is goodbye.

I’m fed up with the Instagram game.
I’m closing my account.
This game is not my game. There’s no meaning, no true connection.

It’s just a tool. A tool that’s becoming more and more negative in terms of side effects but also in creating an unreal reality.

If Instagram would cease to exist, nobody would be harmed. Which means it carries little value.

I will stop using it for personal reasons. For my company I might use it as one of the tools for communication.

It has taught me one thing: don’t mistake a follower for a friend, or a reaction to a conversation. True connection and friendships are made in real life.

Doing what I like.

Meeting my old childhood neighbor for a ride. We had fun, we had great talks and along the way, we enjoyed the beautiful Dutch landscape.

Yesterday I went looking for . I think I found it.

Starting of the holiday in perfect style with a ride in

For 5 days I was riding the dream. A dream of creating something new in an area that isn’t known for its cycling culture nor infrastructure.

After five days I’ve been impressed, overwhelmed and moved by the area, the people and also the possibilities.

Sometimes you have to take yourself out of the comfort zone into a new one. That moment when you stop dreaming the dream and start making it reality.

Just a great day out in the region. We did today. Such a stunning climb.

About that day. 8 years ago. 06-06-14.
Still over the moon I found you. That day I cried so much my eyes hurt. Tears of joy. Of pure happiness.

You truly are the love of my life.
The past 8 years of marriage have been filled with beautiful, joyful but also tough and sad moments. These moments brought us even closer together.

To you, my lovely wife. To the next 8 or 80 years. To the moon and beyond ❤️

It was great to explore the roads of the ‘back corner’. Until I crashed. Nothing really serieus but it kinda took the air out of it. But before the crash, about 60% into my ride it was jaw dropping awesome.

Thanks to because the helmet literally saved me. The inside was really shaken. So only some bruises and small wounds. Typical 😂

One of those days. Riding the coast to and finally to the HQ. pouring cider. Suffering on the climbs.
