Welcome Lorenzo Ingram! 💙

🏏 Lorenzo has built an incredible legacy as a player and coach at Excelsior’20 Cricket. The left-arm orthodox bowler, who lives in Utrecht, has decided to join Kampong to play next year.

Lorenzo has scored 5,912 runs in 171 matches for Excelsior’20, with an average of 44.79 runs per match, including 11 centuries. As a bowler, he took 221 wickets, and in the field, he made 90 catches.

We are excited to welcome you to Kampong Cricket, Lorenzo, and we look forward to seeing you play in Kampong blue! 🏏💙

Ratha Alphonse is back in blue! After a stint with HCC in the Topklasse last year, where he notched up 386 runs in 12 innings with an average of 32.17, he is set to rejoin Kampong 🏏

Dinsdagavond 16 januari vond er een belangrijke Raadsinformatiebijeenkomst (RIB) plaats over de ontwikkelingen in Maarschalkerweerd-Noord.

Al een aantal jaren wordt er door de ambtenaren van de gemeente over de invulling van dit terrein, waar Groen Recycling Utrecht uit gaat vertrekken, overlegd. Groot punt van discussie vormt de sportboulevard: deze 250 meter lange en 10 meter brede strip zonder logisch begin- en eindpunt moet in de visie van de gemeente dwars door de grasvelden komen.

On Tuesday evening, January 16, an important Council information meeting (RIB) took place about developments in Maarschalkerweerd-Noord.

For a number of years, municipal officials have been discussing the use of this site, from which Groen Recycling Utrecht will be leaving. The sports boulevard is a major point of discussion: in the municipality's vision, this 250 meter long and 10 meter wide strip without a logical starting and ending point should cut straight through the sports lawns.

Coming Sunday, The Netherlands will take on India in Bengaluru for their final World Cup match. Come down to Kampong and support the men in orange or blue. The Charles Verheyen Pavilion will be open from 9AM onwards.

Last Saturday Christo scored 137 runs from 51 balls. This set the platform to chase down 181 in just 17 overs 😱

Two weeks ago our Zami 2 team also became champions in poule 3! 👏

Zami 2 won their last game of the season against VOC.

VOC batted first scoring 146/9 in 35 overs. Kampong chased it down in 16 overs! Amit Gupta was retired after scoring 102 off 48 balls.

This was also a farewell game for one of the legends - Hassan Mukadam. This was perhaps his last game in kampong blue before he moves to US.
