Tried the Cardisuit this week, basically giving myself a controlled CO₂ bath.

The sensations were wild: deep relaxation and this incredible warmth that felt like it came from inside the body, just beneath the skin. Weird in the best possible way!

Might write a bit more about this experience at a later moment! Let me know if you’re curious.

New dive watch: the Garmin Descent G2! Took it to the pool yesterday and tomorrow outdoors for a depth session. How cool is the branded watch face?! 😎

So far so good and happy with the watch!

2025 was about improving & collaborating 🌊🫁

What a year for BreatheNautics! We collaborated with .nl and , hosted breathwork circles, freediving courses and workshops. In 2025, we guided and educated over 150 people, while improving and expanding our products. What a year!

Bas on his personal year: “it was mostly awesome!” I set a few new freediving PBs: 100m DNF / 50 m depth / 5:45 STA. I moved in with my girlfriend, joined a new freediving club .freediving, did my first depth competition, and obtained my depth competition safety certification. My breathwork journey was deeply insightful as well. I completed another round of The Presence Process by Michael Brown and went a bit deeper into myself once again.

Not everything was fine and dandy, there were a few failures and setbacks too. I set some fun strength related goals (muscle-up / single-leg squat), but never came close to reaching them. Then again, I simply didn’t put in the work. There were a few flu-related breaks in my training program, and after a lovely holiday in Tenerife, I never returned to cold-water exposure missing November and December. I was too spoiled by the warmth. Minor hiccups and let’s try harder/smarter next loop around the sun.

Now it’s time to slow down toward the end of 2025. Thank you all for an amazing year!

Some gifts gather dust. Others open new worlds. This year, gift someone a freediving or breathwork experience they’ll never forget.

The kind of gift that feels good long after the holidays are over. ✨🎁

9 days on Tenerife just focusing on freediving, what a joy!🐬

This summer, I spent fine-tuning my equalization with . In the water, the focus was on RV dives, applying everything .aka.techniqueinblue taught me, which prepared me very well for the pressure of more depth. The idea of joining my first depth freediving competition grew, and what an experience it was!

Before the comp, I joined the depth competition safety course, with the cherry on top being a deeeeep rescue from 30 meters. I learned to read the sonar and gained more confidence with additional rescue techniques, adding more safety to my courses and regular training as well. Oh, and I got to drive the underwater scooter 😎😎😎

After the course, I switched to training for the competition. Practicing no-warmup dives is going better and better, but still needs more work. In the days leading up to the competition, I got a new PB of 50 meters. But, unfortunately, couldn’t go deeper during the comp. Loads of lessons, laughs, new friends, and good vibes! I’ll definitely be back to for more.

Thanks for your passionate guidance and knowledge 🙏

Nice and chill line dives to look at a wreck with the name El Peñón.

✨ Festival 2025 was a blast!

We hosted "How to Freedive" workshops, exploring what really happens during a breath-hold: the science, the training, the do’s & don’ts. And of course… we tried a few breath-holds ourselves!

Together, all participants held their breath for a collective 3 hours, 44 minutes and 26 seconds — how amazing is that? ⏱🌊

It was such a beautiful chance to share the art of freediving with curious and enthusiastic Surfani’s 💙

We explored:
🙃 blissful silent holds
⚡️ dipping into discomfort
🧘 learning to observe before reacting
🤝 connecting deeper to body, mind & self

From open tents to cosy cabins, every workshop felt fresh and alive. Thank you all for your trust, openness and playfulness. Hope to see you again underwater (or on land)! 🌊✨
