Dear reader,

What you’re seeing is the first edition of Paper Jam, a new zine by Dom City Roller Derby.

Why a 'zine? And what even is a ‘zine’?
Originally shorthand for ‘magazine’, zine became the term of choice for home made, independently produced, small circulation publications, usually devoted to specialized subject matter. While zines have existed for a long time, they rose to fame during the 70s punk era, when the creators of countercultural alternatives to mainstream print media finally got easy access to copying machines. When the internet took over the world (the elder millennials amongst you may remember), zines almost went the way of the five point jam.

But in the current age of GenAI, zines have officially returned and are fighting back!

So spread the word, share it with your friends and your teamies! 🛼💛

We’re hosting an NSO Bootcamp on the 19th of September at the Disaster Dome in Utrecht. All levels are welcome!
