💥 New Strength Cycle Starts Next Week! 💥
Dates: 19 January 2026 - 29 March 2026 (10 weeks).
You crushed your 1RMs this week, amazing! I saw a lot of new PRs come by 🏆
Starting next week, we're kicking off a new 10-week strength cycle focusing on:
- Monday evenings - Thruster
- Thursday evenings - Bench Press
- Saturday mornings - Conventional Deadlift
Structure:
- We will start Week 1 with a 1 rep max benchmark test for each of the lifts.
- During Weeks 2 to 9, we will progressively increase the intensity and volume based on percentages of your 1 rep max.
- In Week 10 we will re-test your 1 rep max and hopefully have a new 1 rep max to show for it.
Focus: We will focus on improving your lifting technique for the above mentioned lifts, allowing you to move better and maintain good technique under lifting heavy loads as well as progressively increasing the weights and reps to allow you to get stronger over time.
Other: And do not worry if you cannot make it every week or are unable to perform a movement due to injury or otherwise. The coaches will happily cater the programming to your needs, whilst still being able to make gains across the board.
However, consistency is key. Show up, put in the work, and let’s get stronger together and have fun doing it.

A night focused on women’s health in relation to sports, but of course, everyone is welcome. How does your menstrual cycle affect your training and performance? Are you experiencing pelvic floor issues? Wondering how you can keep training while pregnant, or what's safe for a healthy and fit recovery? Hyrox Amsterdam!!
On Sunday the 11th, we'll be hosting the Hyrox simulation to help you optimally prepare for Hyrox Amsterdam.
You can register via the app.
If you're running the race with a buddy who is not a member at Dom City, they can also participate in the simulation.

Classic CrossFit Programming
We're kicking off our Power Endurance cycle on November 17! Get ready to enhance your sustained strength, control, and technical precision as we tackle longer, more demanding efforts.
Cycle Overview:
Dates: November 17 – December 21, 2025 (5 weeks)
Goal: Elevate your ability to maintain submaximal force output, bridging the gap between strength and conditioning.
Focus: Build strength endurance under fatigue—learn to move powerfully and efficiently at 60–80% loads.
What to Expect:
Get ready for 3 Power Endurance Sessions per Week:
1. Lower Body Pull (Posterior Chain Focus)
2. Lower Body Push (Squat Power Focus)
3. Upper Body Power (Push & Pull Focus)
Each session will include:
Structured strength work featuring supersets, drop sets, contrast training, and tempo variations
Interval-style metcons to challenge your pacing and control
One lower-impact aerobic or muscular endurance metcon weekly
Benchmark workouts: Double DT, Open 25.2 (22.3), and Heavy sessions

CrossFit Programming
The next 4-week block runs from October 5 to November 9, and focuses on building strength and skill in upper-body pulling and pressing gymnastics movements. This program is tailored for mixed-level classes, helping athletes progress at their own pace—from beginners learning strict pull-ups to advanced athletes refining bar and ring muscle-ups.
Program Highlights
Goals: Develop strength and technique in pull-ups, ring dips, bar muscle-ups, and ring muscle-ups, alongside exposure to new skills through play-based gymnastics sessions.
Testing: The cycle concludes with max-rep testing during the final week.
Structure: Includes coach-ready progressions, blended metcons, accessory work for balance, and gymnastics drills for skill exploration and confidence-building.
Levels:
Beginners: Build strict strength using bands, negatives, and tempo techniques.
Intermediate athletes: Improve consistency and refine transitions.
Advanced athletes: Focus on high-level skills, endurance, and efficiency.
