🎖️THE The Old Irish Pub - Bergen OF THE WEEK🎖️

DPOY: back to back awards for our defensive captain, big 9-8🤩 in a game where our defense struggled during the first half and beginning of the second, Pietro De Stefano kept bringing pressure and disruption relentlessly, while also contributing to our offence with 4 catches on 4 targets🤝

OPOW: came ready to ball, whatever was asked of him. When Glenn went out with a back injury, Fabian was asked to play QB and he turned the game around. Throwing and running the ball, he did it all. Truly a one of a kind talent, we sure are lucky to have 2 in black red and gold🙏

STPOW: aka good old reliable! Ebenezer keeps converting and delivering. Matter of fact: he has not missed a PAT this season. A true Swiss knife, scoring points one way or the other #🎯

WHAT A COMEBACK!🤩

Down 28 to 7 at the beginning of the 3rd quarter, after Lura scored a touchdown on the first snap of the second half.
The berserkers Defence found its rhythm after a complicated game and started stopping the Lura offence when it mattered the most, giving a chance to our Offence to make plays and come back to win the game🫡

Together, tough, BERSERKERS!❤️
Extremely proud of our guys for sticking together and share the belief that the game is never ever over🤝

Huge shout out to our amazing Fans at Varden❤️
Time to celebrate at The Old Irish Pub - Bergen as usual🎉

3-0 on the season, two bye weeks to recharge now🔋

🎖️THE OLD IRISH PLAYERS OF THE WEEK🎖️ The Old Irish Pub - Bergen

OPOW: This game was a special one for Thomas Husevåg Løland, who, not only played in his hometown, but played against his own brother. Thomas had the ball in his hands many times during the game, often when we needed a new set of downs and he imposed himself in the short run game🚅 relentless effort and consistency 🫡

DPOW: after a 10 tackles game against Lura, our defensive captain decided to start filling up the sacks stat column all at once, causing havoc in the backfield🐻

STPOW: The way the game was going we sure were happy to have adding one point to our touchdowns. When the game was stalled on a score of 7-6, his kick was making the difference, and when we scored again, his PAT was the last punch💪🏻

🏆THE OLD IRISH PLAYERS OF THE WEEK🏆

OPOW: Glenn Endre Bertelsen gained his starting spot back and showed us immediately why. This was arguably his best game as a Berserker, he connected with his receivers 5 times for 6 and he was duking defenders all game. Cherry on top? Not a single interception🍒

DPOW: There were many options for this award as the defensive performance worthy of it were many but Kyrre Haugland was all over the place, tackling, breaking passes and his interception was the ultimate morale killer for our opponents🫡

STPOW: Brage Stubhaug Halbrend we have all seen that one tackle on kick off right? Brage was disruptive, violent and clutch on so many occasions. Special player, only right he would win this award🙌🏻

Shout out The Old Irish Pub - Bergen for their PLAYERS OF THE WEEK picks, and for always giving us a place where we can celebrate our Wins🤝

VICTORY!🤩

We come out victorious after a tough and entertaining battle against Lura Bulls!

Final Score: 21-33

A very balanced first half saw us walking to the locker rooms with a 1 point lead at 20-21.
After the break, the defence came out blazing and didn’t allow a single point in the second half, while our offence put 12 more on the board.
Berserker Football is back in Berserker fashion❤️

Next up: Sunday 6/9, BB @ Sunnfjord Sailors in Førde, kick off at 13:00🍿
