We had great time today climbing Sammaltunturi with BC skis!
Meeting the wild fox and skiing around the mountain down into the woods!

This is an accessible and enjoyable excursion in the Pallastunturi area in the finnish lapland. Following the tracks starting from Jeris Hotel, you deviate east towards Sammaltunturi Ylä-laki and ski around it, to then come back between Ylä-laki and Ala-laki, the second smaller top of Sammaltunturi. Youc ontinue by just skiing down the hill until you reach the cross-country track and back to Jeris Hotel

Last week there was still a little powder on top of even in late spring. Great fun in turns!

Even at the end of April, Pallastunturi in finnish Lapland can offer some nice soft powder snow. We were lucky as it snowed the day before and then sun shined on us the day after!
