What's on our minds this Sunday? 🏁
A podium at the Autumn Final, a debut in a brand-new class, and some crushed dreams... 🥺
Let's start with the positives.
Seb brought home P3 in X30 after showing great pace all day. 🥳 He crossed the finish line first in both heats, but a couple of penalties moved him down the order.
We can accept penalties in motorsport. That's part of racing. What is harder to understand is when similar situations seem to be judged differently. Consistency is important, and throughout the day we felt that was missing. It was frustrating, but there isn't much you can do except focus on what comes next.
And that's exactly what Seb did.
He didn't let it affect him. He focused on driving. Even after the penalties he started the final in P3 and finished P3. Of course we wanted more, especially after showing winning pace all day, but this is motorsport. Some days go your way, some days don't.
A podium is still a podium, and we're proud of how he handled the setbacks. 👏👏
And on that note- we would also like to send our appreciation to KNA Varna, because the race was executed brilliantly, they handled so many classes and everything went so smoothly. To all volunteers, thank you for being there, we know we cannot race without you🫶🏻
Thomas took on a completely different challenge this weekend.
He made his debut in KZ2, one of the toughest karting classes out there. Before this weekend he had only driven the kart once, back in the spring. Friday was practice, Saturday was racing, and the competition was brutal.
This weekend wasn't about results. It was about learning.
Throughout the day Thomas kept improving, setting personal best lap times and getting more comfortable with the kart. In the final he found himself in an intense battle, fighting hard to avoid finishing last. It turned into one of the most exciting fights on track, with clean overtakes, fair racing, and plenty of action.
We love seeing racers compete hard while respecting each other, and this was exactly that. Thomas has never been afraid of new challenges, and this weekend was another reminder of that. 💪🏻👏🏻
And then there are the crushed dreams.
We came so unbelievably close to making Hockenheim happen. So close that it hurts.
For the last months we have worked, hoped, planned, and dreamed. In the end, it wasn't enough. That is difficult to accept, and today we are honestly a little sad.
But motorsport teaches you something important.
You get knocked down. You get back up. You keep going.
New opportunities are already appearing on the horizon. A Porsche Sprint Challenge shootout. A potential race weekend at Misano in Italy this November.
The road may not be the one we expected, but the journey isn't over.
So we'll keep fighting for our dreams.
Because the only guaranteed way to lose is to stop trying. ❤️🏁
To CRG Norge- thank you ever so much for your excellent help, the fact you came all the way to support us, and spent the weekend improving us. The way you have welcomed us into your team this season has been so good for us, and we have gone back to our roots again- and rediscovered why karting is fun❤️
To Jussi- our beloved crazy Finnish mechanic. You are the best. Always knowing what to say to the boys- and the work you did with Thomas yesterday 👏🏻👌🏻 the improvements we saw.. so much fun.
To all of our sponsors and partners- thank you for supporting us, and believing in our project and talent
