This week many of you will wonder what to do without kindergarden but we are here to help!

Some moments from “planleggingsdager” at Oslo Klatresenter, courtesy of our social media guy and his kids. 🧗‍♂️

He knows from experience that bringing the kids to the gym at an early age can have some unintended consequences — like becoming suspiciously good at escaping their cribs… He did try to compensate by fattening them up with delicious buns from Tid Bakeri og Kaffebar and ice cream… but, spoiler alert: it didn’t help. 😂

Anyway, it’s always a bit of a bummer to break your work routine. But who knows — maybe you’re actually shaping the athlete who’ll retire you in a few years? 💪🧗‍♀️

Last week, we hosted the national team for three days during their training camp! The athletes got to test themselves on hard routes set specifically to target their weaknesses, with hard moves and tricky clipping positions👀 typical challenges found in international competitions💥 See you next time🙌🏼❤️

And just like that, July is over and most of us are back to work!

We’ve randomly selected the first winners of the Rungne Circuit Challenge from everyone who completed it.

Huge congratulations to Wilhelm W.S., winner of the White Circuit, Leon K.H., winner of the Grey Circuit, and Anna Li., our Joker Card winner! You have worked hard for it and deserve glory and success! 🎉

No one managed to complete the Black Circuit this month unfortunately, so in August we’ll be drawing two winners from that category. We’re also turning the difficulty down a notch—the routesetters may have gone a little too wild on this one. 😅

We’re slightly behind schedule with the new set, but the new room will be reset this Thursday and Friday, and the August Circuit Challenge will be ready to climb shortly after.

So, once the boulders are on the wall you have until the end of August to work on the circuit and tick the boulders! You got this!!

Meet Rikard!
If you’ve spent more than five minutes at OKS, chances are you’ve already seen this kind and calm soul. He works as an instructor, personal trainer, receptionist, and klatrevakt, and basically lives here. Rumor has it he only leaves on rare occasions to eat, sleep, and try hard on his current project, before running right back to hang out with everyone!

Before climbing completely took over his life, Rikard spent 6 years doing calisthenics. With that foundation his progression since picking up climbing in 2021 has been nothing short of impressive! His proudest (and most challenging) send to date he says is “en verden i ruiner» at Hellerud. These days, when he’s between projects, you’ll find him leveling up his trad and slab climbing skills.

On the off-chance he isn’t dangling from a wall or behind the desk, Rikard is usually listening to music, reading sci-fi and fantasy books, or keeping up with the latest training science.
