For the third consecutive season, Sondre Lunde has led the Eliteserien in return touchdowns. The ultimate special teams weapon once again finished as the Trolls’ leader in all-purpose yards.

No matter where you line him up, Sondre has the ability to change a game in an instant. Opposing teams do everything they can to keep the ball out of his hands, but when he gets an opportunity, he makes them pay.

Now in his third season of senior football, Sondre earns his third straight All-Star Team selection, further cementing his reputation as one of the league’s most dynamic athletes.

What many would consider a “down year” for Atle would be a career year for most players. Once again, he anchored a defence that finished among the nation’s best for the third consecutive season, leading or competing for the top spot in nearly every major defensive category.

Achievements like that don’t happen without a cornerstone in the middle, and Atle has been exactly that for years.

Numbers don’t lie.

On the nation’s top-ranked defensive back unit, we had a tie for the team lead in interceptions. Veteran ballhawk Eirik Lystad, who made the move to defensive back this season, and Julian Rausand, our loan addition from the Nidaros Domers, both finished the year with 2 interceptions.

Their impact was felt all season long as they helped lead a secondary that ranked #1 in every major passing category — fewest passing yards allowed, fewest passing touchdowns allowed, most interceptions, and a completion percentage allowed of just 37.3%.

Absolute domination from a defensive backfield that shut down opposing passing attacks week after week, with these two safeties patrolling the skies. 🦅
