Hosting the event, Strie Strømmer along with Gene17kayaking have put together an action packed programme full of guided river trips, clinics and world-class level competitions. Without forgetting off-the water parties, BBQs and outdoor movie action. The programme is always action packed with…

Parties (The infamous Pimp’n Ho still going strong)
Guided River Descents
Gene17Kayaking Clinics
The Sjoa River Festival normally takes place during Week 28 of the Nordic calendar (around mid July).

Remember to sign up the kayak pinball race to rap up the festival!

We’re excited to introduce Big Balls – a brand new mixed‑level kayak pinball race and the grand finale of this year’s Sjoa River Festival! This will be followed by a friends float down the rest of the playrun. We hope as many people as possible will join in the fun event.

Expect teamwork, chaos, laughter, and a whole lot of river action as paddlers of different abilities come together for a festival-ending celebration on the water.
