Same Magnus, different moment 👀✨
Last year, after his loss to Gukesh at Norway Chess (his last classical defeat), Magnus showed a raw emotion: a table slam that went viral 👊
Fast forward to yesterday and TePe Sigeman: after a breathtaking, hard-fought loss against Jorden van Foreest, Magnus stayed, analysed the game for several minutes, and shared a few smiles ☺️

Big chessboards. Sunshine. 100 kids who came to compete ♟️ ☀️
The yearly children’s chess tournament returned, and children and youth from all over Rogaland County participated.
Giske Middle School won the middle school category, while British International School of Stavanger (BISS) took the elementary school title. BISS knocked out defending champions Stangeland elementary school in the final and secured their place at the national final in Oslo and a shot at the international tournament in Spain happening this autumn.
Thank you to all the players, teachers, coaches, and partners for making this such a memorable day of strategy and sportsmanship 🏆
ℹ️ The tournament was a collaboration between the Rogaland School Chess Committee, the Norwegian Chess Federation (Norges Sjakkforbund) and Norway Chess, and took place on the campus grounds of Skeiane Ungdomsskole.
