A different kind of workday! 🌊

Recently MarLog team swapped the office for the shoreline in Egersund, joining forces with the volunteers at In the Same Boat.

In a few hours, we cleared 588 kg of waste along 240 metres of coastline. Most of it from fishing and industry. All of it where it shouldn't be!🚯🏖️

The numbers don't lie. What we picked up in a morning is a fraction of what's out there. Cleaning it up takes more than strong backs and hard work, it takes funding for equipment, boats, and proper waste disposal.

That's why MarLog is proud to support In The Same Boat and the work they do to keep Norway's coastlines clean.

If you haven't heard of them, look them up. Since 2017 they've removed 1,800 tonnes of plastic pollution from our shores.

One of our favourite assignments is when our Danish neighbours pay a visit to Stavanger 🇩🇰👋

We’ve proudly handled logistics in Norway for ESVAGT for many years, and every time one of their vessels calls at port, we’re ready to support their operations.

From berthing to onshore logistics coordination, it’s always a pleasure to assist their crew and ensure everything runs efficiently during their stay.

Waste does not belong at sea🌊

Waste doesn’t take care of itself. It must be handled properly and safely, in close cooperation with people who know what they’re doing.

As a ship agent, this is part of our everyday work: making sure crews on board have the right conditions to dispose of waste in a responsible and compliant way.

For vessels at sea, the same responsibility applies as on land:

👉Waste must not be discharged into the sea
👉must be sorted and stored correctly
👉And handled by an approved waste management company
