ATOMIC SKIING

We are heartbroken to share the news of the passing of our friend and athlete, Guillaume “Gee” Pierrel, following and avalanche on K6 in the Karakoram, Pakistan. His two companions are safe.
 
Gee was a IFMGA mountain guide, filmmaker, and one of the most accomplished ski mountaineers of his generation. He approached the mountains with extraordinary purpose, always pushing the boundaries of what was possible, always doing it on his own terms.
 
While with Atomic, he and Christina Lustenberger made the first ski descent of Hunter’s Moon on Aoraki / Mount Cook, and the first ski descent of the south face of Mount Robson. The latter became Robson, a film that premiered at the 50th Banff Mountain Film Festival and is touring the world.

Gee lived that completely. 
 
Our love is with his family, his friends, and the mountain community that knew him.

Historic Olympic medals, overall and discipline globes, and first World Cup wins that shifted the momentum. The Redster Team was on it all winter long.

This season saw the Backland skimo team reach new heights.
At a defining moment for ski mountaineering, five Olympic medals were collected as the sport made its Olympic debut. From the season kick-off to the finals, they powered up the hills and crushed the downhills to earn overall and discipline globes and claimed 14 World Cup victories. In the most iconic skimo races they ran on airy ridges above the 3000m mark and skied the steepest couloirs to celebrate 16 podiums.

This winter was earned on snow, one solid run after another.
Across park, pipe, and freeride, our athletes stayed composed under pressure and put down landings when it mattered the most. The 2025/2026 season showed what happens when form holds all winter and confidence keeps building.
