My meditation spot this weekend 🌊🩵
Practicing in nature, under the open sky, with the warmth of the sun resting gently on my eyelids… brings me an immediate sense of calm and serenity.
Where do you prefer to meditate?
A yoga practice can take many shapes.
Sometimes more physical and dynamic.
Other times more meditative, subtle, and inward. What we need from our practice changes throughout life — and sometimes from day to day.
Meditation is a beautiful way to soften the noise of modern life, recharge your energy, and simply return to the present moment. And the best part: it can be practiced anytime, anywhere.
If you feel called to try it outdoors, here is a simple practice:
✨ Find a quiet place in nature — a forest, a park, or a peaceful beach.
✨ Sit comfortably with an upright spine and close your eyes.
✨ Take a few slow breaths and allow your shoulders to soften.
✨ Feel the contact between your body and the earth beneath you.
Notice the sensations around you —
the warmth of the sun, the wind on your skin, the scent of the air, the sounds of nature.
Gradually bring your awareness to your breath.
Feel the gentle expansion as you inhale, and the soft release as you exhale.
Let your attention rest here, simply following the natural rhythm of your breath.
When the mind wanders — gently guide it back to your breath. No judgement. Just return.
Sit for as long as it feels comfortable.
Before opening your eyes, take a moment to notice the space around you again.
Meditation can be practiced anywhere —
but there is something special about the quiet of nature 🤍

Blood moon in Greifswald tonight 🌕
Happy coincidence to be walking along the river Ryck in the old city just as the full moon eclipse happened. Pictures doesn’t really do it justice, but the bright red moonlight on the river was a breathtaking sight!
In yoga the full moon is traditionally a time for rest. This is a lovely moment to turn inward, soften, and reconnect with our natural rhythm. Through breathwork, soft movement, and meditation, we can settle the nervous system, quiet the mind, and sync with the moon’s calming presence 🌕✨

An important part of yoga practice is to be aware and in the present moment. A simple practice for this is repeating the mantra «I am here, I am now, I am here and now», while taking in your surroundings in the moment. This meditation can be practiced anywhere, anytime you need a gentle reminder to stay present in the now.

This week marked the halfway point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox - «Imbolc»in the traditional Celtic calendar. The ancient beginning of spring. A quiet threshold. A time of transition. Of preparing the ground for what longs to grow.
Each day brings a little more light.
Not all at once - but enough to remind us that something is already stirring beneath the surface. Spring begins softly, before the burst of growth, new life and blooming.
Here in Greifswald it is still freezing - even the river and the inner parts of the sea have frozen over (!) Yet knowing that spring is on its way brings with it a gentle promise of warmth, as the light is slowly returning.
In practice, we can meet this season as it is.
Slowing down.
Lingering in stillness.
Letting the breath soften the body and the body soften the mind.
Recharging for the more active seasons to come. Resting long enough to feel new energy quietly awakening - and trusting that growth does not need to be rushed 💛🙏🏻

Every month I choose a mantra, repeating it silently and gently as part of my practice. This month’s mantra is “Joy is the key” or «Ananda Hum»
Not as something to strive for, but as a quiet guide and reminder - to soften, to open, to feel, be present and to notice the small moments that carry great lightness. Joy doesn’t have to be loud or constant. Sometimes it’s just that subtle inner feeling of yes 💛🙏🏻
Ananda Hum can be translated to «I am bliss» or «Happiness is my true nature»
