Introducing NORBIT’s 2-day Bathymetric Multibeam Operators Course (Level 1) on November 13-14th, 2023 in Lake Conroe, TX.
This course is designed to teach the set-up, validation, and operation of a high-performance NORBIT multibeam sonar system for bathymetric data collection. The system will be mobilized “out of the box” and guide the users how to set up on a vessel of opportunity in real-time. The class is classroom based and will have live demonstrations with assets on site, and the demonstration vessel operated remotely by class participants. Upon completion of this class, users should be able to set up a NORBIT sonar system with the PORTUS pole, validate the installation and verify offsets and installation parameters, and collect accurate bathymetric survey data.
Each participant shall be issued a certificate for the NORBIT Multibeam Operators Course (Level 1)

On July 14 NORBIT wrapped up the annual Seahorse Training for 2023 at Cape Fear Community Colleague (CFCC), Wilmington Campus. The training was at capacity with government agencies, private industry and academia participating from across the USA, Canada, and as far away as Singapore.
