Guide Simon Kitcher releases a nice salmon of 86cm which was caught by our Italian guest Sandro Milano at Beat E2. There are coming also fish in good sizes from the sea into our lower Beats. With the forecasted rain and the expected water levels we are exited for the next days to come!

Federico Malipiero from Italy caught a very nice salmon of 94cm today at our Beat in Melhus today. The water is low but our fishermen report seeing a good number of fish, catching some grilse, especially in those Beats at the lower river.

Week 29 has not ended yet, but our fishermen caught some nice salmon during their week, even in very low water. A bit of rain for next week in the forecast, let’s hope it will come, and we surely would keep catching.

Nice salmon of 90cm for Daniel Graff this evening at Beat A1. We caught several nice fish today and during the last days. More pictures will follow. Despite low water we keep catching fish!

Despite low water we are catching a good number of grilse, here and then a better sized fish. The river is absolutely beautiful, here are just some pictures from the last 2 days on our waters.

Our newly arrived fishermen started last night and already landed quite some grilse, lost some bigger ones, seems the lower water makes the fish more active! We are looking forward to the days to come.

It’s been a tricky week on the Gaula with constant changing of waterlevels, rising, dropping another rise, but some good fish have been caught like the one in the picture by Lionel Bonora, measuring 95cm. A good number of grilse has been caught as well. Fresh fish keep coming in the lower river, so there are still fish coming into the system.

NFC‘s Thies Reimers got a nice salmon of 91cm this afternoon at Beat C2. The river wakes up - we love to see some good fish been landed!

Mark Oechsle with a beautiful salmon of 105cm during the night from Beat C2. Also Hans E. Wolff just landed a 75cm salmon on the same Beat. A lot of grilse have entered the river as well and we have a lot of contacts and quite some lost fish the last days. We are quite positive about the next days to come, fishing definitely is improving! Let’s keep them coming!

The past week we had quite low water and the salmon seem to wait to reach the upper parts of the river. A lot of fish have been seen lately in the Melhus area and probably with the heavy rain that started today we will see fish running upstream. Despite the tough conditions last week Sacha Pütz managed to catch 5 fish during his week at NFC, including this nice salmon from Beat L4 measuring 84cm. We also had a few more smaller to medium salmon landed by our guests and many lost. Well, it’s pouring rain just now and we believe the Gaula will look very differently in a few hours or latest tomorrow! Fingers crossed for a small flood and some exciting days ahead!
