Update from Baden Powell Scout Peak climbers, Finnish Scouts: Today and tomorrow, the expedition reaches the BP Base Camp! Connections have been really bad, so therefore does not have this week been little updates. 2nd March, 2012. The Baden Powell Scout Peak has today been summitted by Japanese Rover Scout. The message received directly from the base camp by leader Naresh Maharjan, the successful summitter is one and only Rover Masaki Nagashima among two Rovers.
The expedition was started on 23rd February and send off ceremony was made by Nepal Tourism authorizes at Nepal Tourism Board at Bhadrakali. Authorities from NTB mentioned on their speech at the small ceremony, "this is the first expedition of year 2012" in Nepal.
For the Japanese Group, expedition was leaded by Naresh Maharjan along with 3 shrepas.
