The World Dodgeball Federation is marking June 30 as the International Day of Dodgeball! Member nations around the world will be celebrating the day, sharing stories and inviting those new to the sport to seek out opportunities to participate. We are pleased to reserve this day to share our love for dodgeball and, more importantly, our love for the community that has built and continues to build this sport at all levels.

Thomas Bach re-elected as IOC President for second term - Olympic News Olympic champion Thomas Bach has been re-elected for an additional four-year term as President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). At the 137th IOC Session held virtually today, the 67-year-old German received 93 yes and 1 no votes from the 94 valid votes.

What is LAGORI ?
Lagori also known as Dikori, Lagori or pitthu and by many other names is a traditional Indian game. Primarily an outdoor game, lagori in played between two teams (Breaker and Defenders) Lagori required 9 flat circular plastic dices and a ball. Breakers take turns to knock over the lagori set and after a success fall attempt the defender team prevents the breaker team from restactes the pile and hit the players from breaker team with the ball.The respective game set ends if the players from the breakers side are hit by the ball or if the breaker side successfully retackles the lagori set. Teams at the end of Scores accumulated by each set are compared to decide the winners. Lagori has a history of over 5000 years with written references in various Indian Mythological Manuscripts.Lagori is played across the globe with different names. Some of the popular names are TEELO (Canada), SEVEN TILES (Turkey), HAFT SANG (Iran), SANTRACON (Afghanistan) and many more. though now LAGORI is the name that has been accepted as the official name for the sport on an international level for tournaments and championships. Lagori is growing on popularity even since the formation of its National and International Level Federations ALFI and ILF respectively. Lagori has a strong presence globally with more than 30 countries playing the sport at international level.
