🇳🇵⚽ From SWSC to Europe: Congratulations, Sima Rani Ghale!
A proud moment for Social Welfare Sports Centre Club (SWSC) and Nepali women’s football!
We are extremely happy and proud to see our former player Sima Rani Ghale take the next big step in her football journey by signing with ŽNK Split, a club competing in the top division of women’s football in Croatia. 🇭🇷⚽
For us at SWSC, this is more than just a transfer. It is a beautiful reminder of where a journey can begin—and how far dedication, discipline and hard work can take a player.
🌱 The journey began at SWSC
After completing her school education, Sima came to Kathmandu for college. Along with her studies, she was determined to continue developing her football career. She started looking for a place where she could train regularly and meet other young players who shared the same passion.
Her search brought her to Social Welfare Sports Centre Club (SWSC) in 2020. At SWSC, Sima trained under Youth & Women’s Coach Anil Chaudhary, where she gradually developed her fundamental football skills, technical ability and understanding of the game.
She was also fortunate to have talented teammates who shared the same dream, including Jennifer Rana and Yasoda Sahi Thakuri. Together, they trained, played, learned and improved.
The small-sided training environment at SWSC helped the players develop their footwork, ball control, passing, movement and technical confidence. Sima, being a left-footed player, also brought something different to the team and continued to develop her own style. Day after day, training after training, her game continued to improve.
📋 A special memory from 2022
According to the SWSC player report from 2022, nine girls from SWSC represented Kathmandu District in the Deputy Mayor Cup, with Sima Rani Ghale, Jennifer Rana and Yasoda Sahi Thakuri included in the same squad. That was another important step in their football journeys. From a local training ground to representing Kathmandu, and eventually moving towards professional football, the progress of these players has been something that SWSC is extremely proud of.
🇳🇵 Sima kept moving forward
After her SWSC journey, Sima continued to develop through different levels of Nepali women’s football.
She represented Bagmati Province at the 9th National Games, later played in the women’s league for Lalitpur FC, and then competed in the ANFA Women’s League with Sankata FC and different other futsal club or academy. She also represented Rapti FC, which was her final playing chapter in Nepal before taking the next major step in her career.
🌍 A new chapter in Europe
Signing for ŽNK Split is a huge opportunity for Sima and another positive moment for Nepali women’s football. Her story shows that a player does not always need to begin at a famous academy or a big club. Sometimes, the journey starts on a small ground, with basic training, limited facilities, a group of friends and one big dream. Sima's journey is a reminder to every young girl playing football in Nepal: Dream big. Start wherever you are. Keep learning. Keep training. Never stop believing. ❤️⚽
❤️ From everyone at SWSC
Sima, we are incredibly proud of you.
We still remember the young player who came to SWSC with a dream of becoming a better footballer. Watching you progress from those early training sessions to representing different teams and now reaching European football is a special feeling for everyone connected with the club.
Your success is not only yours—it is also an inspiration for the many young girls who are currently standing on football grounds across Nepal with the same dream.
Congratulations on this new chapter, Sima Rani Ghale! 🇳🇵❤️ May you continue to learn, grow, fight for your place and make Nepal proud on the European stage.
SWSC will always be proud to say:
“She started her journey with us.” ❤️⚽
Best wishes for your European journey, Sima!
Go shine in Croatia. 🇭🇷✨
Make Nepal proud. 🇳🇵❤️
