The Staying Well While Responding workshop was held in Chitwan to support the mental health and psychosocial wellbeing of individuals working on the frontlines of disaster response.
Those working in disaster response often operate in demanding and emotionally challenging circumstances. The workshop created a space for participants to reflect on their own wellbeing and explore practical ways to stay well while responding to crises and supporting others.
Organised by the Young Entrepreneurs Forum (YEF), Chitwan Industry Association, the workshop was facilitated through a collaborative effort by ANTARANG Psychosocial Research & Training Institute, Pathshala Nepal Foundation and Papa’s House.
The sessions were facilitated by Psychologist Sunita Shrestha, Psychologist Sushama Regmi, Counselling Psychologist Anjani Khadka, Clinical Counsellor Sushmita Thapa,, and Counsellor Upasana Shrestha, bringing together diverse expertise in mental health and psychosocial support.
The workshop explored self-awareness, grounding and emotional regulation, physical wellbeing, and collective care, equipping participants with practical approaches to care for themselves and support one another in high-pressure environments.
A special thanks to the Young Entrepreneurs Forum (YEF), Chitwan Industry Association, for organising this meaningful initiative and creating space to prioritise responder wellbeing.
Because those who care for others deserve care, too.
