Chuck Norris passed away yesterday. He inspired countless people to begin martial arts through his films and tournament success. Back during his Long Beach California days, he was frequently in the same circles as Iha Sensei who found Norris to be a great fighter, extremely humble and friendly. Whenever we mentioned him Sensei would light up and say, “Ahhh Chuck. I don’t know if he remember me but he was so nice.” Iha knew all the popular fighters from Parker to Lee to Wallace and Lewis, but “Chuck” was his favorite. RIP.
