"It is used heavily mostly for my trap line in the upper midwest in the usa. I have cut down trees as big as 8 inches diameter with it when i forgot my axe at home. There are 2 more i purchased for my brothers an hsi and a panawal. The panawal of my brothers is actually the one on your site used for advertisements. They all get used heavily. My panawal and my brother's hsi have both been used to process white tail deer in the field. Mine is the performance grind and i can honestly say after i have used it as much as i have it has never needed more than a couple strokes on a whetstone to bring it back to factory edge. I added the accessories to it when i got it back a few years ago. The knife on back is held on with chicago screws and a cold steel c clip. The rest is held on with ranger bands. As you can see from the mud and blood on the sheath it isn't coddled and it's as good as the day i got it!"

"I have been using your excellent "Regent Bowie" as a general outdoor and, more specifically, interception knife for hunting for quite some time now, mostly against wild boar, and i am more than impressed with it! Its very aggressive (and strong!) tip-and-sharpened-swedge shape makes it, right now, the only knife in my arsenal i can trust to pe*****te the thick hide, muscle and fat of such an animal reliably from any angle, my friends call it the "Panzerknacker" (armor breaker) nowadays 🙂."

"I am in love with it haha. Really good, a little forward so good for hitting deep effortless and the handle is very comfy.
It is a keeper, if I put a cursive and firesteel/ceramic rod on it and small pouch I will take it in my grave with me haha"

This is a remake of a custom from long, long ago- the Hogsplitter!
These kinds of blades are used by butchers to split a hog in half along the spine. The legs are hung wide apart by hooks and then these heavy, often two handed cleavers are swung down vertically along the spine and often through the head with the momentum cutting through the ribs and vertebrae.
This example has a 16" blade, solid steel bolster and 20" full tang handle with rosewood scales. This leviathan weighs a touch under 3kg!
