60 DAYS OF UPDATES DAY 6:
TEAM POLO SHIRTS
A while ago we made some Polo shirts for the team to wear- you might have seen them on social media!
By popular request we got a run of these made in Western sizing so you can rep Kailash Blades and look slick at the same time.
While these are our first foray into non-knife products they have received just as much care and attention as the knives we make.
For full details check out the product page in our accessories section :)

60 DAYS OF UPDATES DAY 6:
MEET KESHU!

We've got a new team member! Keshu is far from new to blacksmithing though and has been working in the industry for 35 years. He's bringing a lot of new skills to the workshop in terms of engraving and ornamentation- something we hope to make the most of!

60 DAYS OF UPDATES DAY 5:
FULL CUSTOMS ARE OPEN...ISH?
We've completely restructured the way we do full customs!
Lots of info but a very quick summary:

- We now have a publicly accessible google drive with past custom patterns that you can check out and order by emailing us!- open to everyone permanently going forwards

- Custom changes that don't need any drawings done (guards, different grinds, custom traditional handles)-open to everyone permanently going forwards.

- Custom Variants of standard models that do need redraws/new patterns- open to everyone permanently going forwards.

-Full customs (new drawing basically from scratch, new sheet metal pattern etc) are open again! This is an insanely in-demand service from us though and uses up a huge amount of resources before a sale ever even happens.
We love talking to customers and discussing khukuris but in the past we have found that a high percentage of Full Custom enquiries in particular will run a dozen emails long, eat up full work days of Andrew’s time and come to a halt when it is time to pay the invoice.
In order to minimise these occurrences, ensure that Full custom recipients have a good understanding of our output and to reward our existing supporters we are only taking Full Custom Enquiries from people who have cumulatively bought over $200 in blades from us previously and who have been a customer of ours for at least 365 days. If you're following us on facebook this is most likely you! We just need some kind of filter on this service to stop us getting overwhelmed with these enquiries.

-Full Custom carveouts have been made for OEM customers with clear guidance on volume and how to become one.

-Additional info on manufacturing limits and capabilities has been added also.

For FULL INFO on this new customs setup check out the custom page on our website! https://kailashblades.com/custom/

60 DAYS OF UPDATES DAY 2:
DOVETAILED BOLSTERS
On our regent series we use solid plate metal bolsters at the front of the blade. Aside from looking great they help control the weight distribution on the blade and help to protect organic handle materials from damage. We've recently got a belt grinder to help with flattening tangs/scales and have also used this tool to dovetail these bolsters. This inwards angled portion helps to trap the scale underneath and stop it from pulling away from the tang if it shrinks. It's also just a nice aesthetic touch on these more classically styled knives :)

60 DAYS OF UPDATES DAY 1:
SOCKET HANDLED FALO
The socket khukuri is now retired from our website and has been replaced with a socket handle option on the Falo khukuri! This model is a much better fit to to the handle style- it is straighter with less tip drop which makes it more functional when fitted to a shaft. The blade finish on the knife also goes perfectly to the raw forged surfaces on the socket handle. Finally it means that this socket handle can serve more customers with 8", 10", 12" and 14" options :)
Stay tuned for more updates over the coming weeks!

1 DAYS UNTIL PRICE RISE

Many of you have probably seen us talking about it over the past few weeks. The reason is simple: after 8 years of keeping our general pricing unchanged, rising material and labour costs have made it necessary for us to make this adjustment.

If you've been planning a purchase, there's still time to place your order before the new pricing takes effect on June 1st.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Kailash over the years. We truly appreciate it, and we're excited to share a lot of new designs, improvements, and updates with you in the months ahead.

Three Days untill Price Rise !
Great review and picture by Anthony Gregory

I discovered these guys after seeing a review by Schola Gladiatora on his YouTube channel and immediately had to have a khukuri for myself! I ended up ordering a 13” Fort William Mk-1, a 12” Mutiny, and a traditional baak for a friend. I was very impressed by the ordering process, the customer support and prompt responses to my many questions, along with the updates of the forging process with photos which I thought was very unique.

The blades themselves are incredible, showing a very high standard of craftsmanship, but are just rough enough to look unique and handmade instead of some mass produced factory blades. I’ve used the mk-1 for gardening, coppicing and bushcrafting tasks and it’s ploughed through everything I’ve used it on. The mutiny is primarily a display blade but it feels great to swing around and the balance is perfect. The sheaths are smart and well made too to complete the look, my only regret is that I didn’t have a kydex one made to go along with them.

Looking to order some custom Bowie knives from them next to see their ‘modern’ blades, I can’t wait! Keep up the great work guys!
