🚨 Nepal U-17’s Disaster: A Warning Siren Nobody at ANFA Seems to Hear 🚨
There was a time, not even that long ago, when Nepal🇳🇵 U-16/U-17 could qualify for the AFC Championship, defeating teams like Kyrgyzstan🇰🇬 and Uzbekistan🇺🇿 in qualifiers. Now they looked like a rabbit being thrown into a lion's den every match.
And remember, this squad was supposed to be the “Best Of the Best” from the ANFA U-16 Youth League and the All-Nepal selection. Yet the gap with every opponent, even in SAFF, looks unnaturally huge. So where did everything go wrong?
ANFA proudly boasts about running a U-16 Youth League, but when the players arrive at the national team, they look unprepared, overwhelmed, and overpowered. Maybe it’s because half the league is crawling with overaged players and fake birth certificates while competition officials magically “don’t notice.”
Then there’s Head Coach Sanjit Singh, ANFA Coach Education Head, the man who trains Nepal’s coaches, approves licenses, and runs courses nobody ever knows the schedule of. His own team conceded 22 goals in 7 matches. If this is the “Coach Education Head,” then what exactly is he educating?
Naturally, you’d expect his team to show structure, discipline, defensive understanding, attacking ideas—something‼️
Instead, Nepal🇳🇵’s U-17 defense collapsed in every match.
Attack? Barely existed.
Tactics? Lost somewhere in transit from the ANFA office to the training field.
And if his “STUDENTS”, the coaches in the U-16 Youth League, can’t produce players good enough for him, then what exactly is going on inside ANFA’s coaching ecosystem?
The bigger problem? ANFA LEADERSHIP
If U-17 is the pipeline to the senior team, then the future of Nepali football looks terrifyingly dark. Either ANFA doesn’t understand football, or they’re letting it collapse under their watch for political games and favourism.
Is the youth system broken? Are selections a joke? Are coaches underprepared? Is ANFA simply incompetent? Or is everything above true?
What’s clear is this: Nepal 🇳🇵U-17 team didn’t fail alone — the entire structure failed with them!
